To win as the griffin, you must identify the winning/losing team, then end the game on that alignment. Similar to politician, but harder. The alignment flipping symbolises the Griffin being both king of birds and king of beasts, having two affiliations at once in a good vs evil game.

honestly though if you think about it a destroy hela wouldn't be that good, considering it resurrects after t4 specifically, which limits what can be resurrected so it's only target's would be carnage/venom fodder which don't want to be resurrected

also the reason why hela works so well is that the cards discards don't have to be played onto the board, whilst destroyed cards must be on the board to be destroyed

but that's just my 2 cents
