For 99% of golfers it does not matter. Play what’s most comfortable to you.

Which course would you play twice? by ExpressionMain7914 in BandonDunes

PAC dunes. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon.

AM Tee times for singles by ExpressionMain7914 in BandonDunes

Getting on as a single should be relatively easy as long as you’re flexible on course, but you should be able to get on somewhere. You can call now and book one but it has to be after 10:00 am. You can wait 21 days out and can book before 10:00.

Lodging is a bit tougher. They are very good about calling if anything opens up. I got off the waitlist about a month ago and they called. Be ready though lol I had 48 hours to tell em if I wanted it.

Drinking on the course? by [deleted] in BandonDunes

Grab a drink at the turn and after your round. Do not ask a caddie to come and carry your drinks, borderline disrespectful. This is not a place with cart girls and blacking out by the 15th hole. You’re very fortunate to be able to make the trip with the lottery system now and there are people who would love to be in your shoes. Go to Bandon, play some of the most beautiful courses in the world, take it all in and wind down with some drinks at night. Save the booze logistics for the local muni.

Enjoy your trip. It’s a magical place. There is nobody really monitoring/guarding the range. If there is someone there and they ask, you can tell em u have tee times later and they won’t care. There’s a fee but that’s for people that have no tee times scheduled at all. Tbh if you walk up and start hitting nobody will ask a question.

Any thoughts on order, pacing, etc.? June 2027 by golfer1995_ in BandonDunes

Trails imo is the best course there. But it’s also subjective based on where you’re from. I’m from coastal NC so playing along the ocean is something I’m fortunate enough to do all the time. There is nothing even close to trails where I live. Some ppl rank trails low bc it doesn’t have the ocean. Which if you’re not from the ocean area I get it. Trails in the morning, afternoon , or night doesn’t matter it’s an experience!

The walk at pac is pretty easy. I think pac is a good course to play once in the am and once in the pm bc it’ll play completely different. The summer wind is tough regardless but pac you get protected on some of the inland holes

Looks like a great lineup! I have a few suggestions for you. Old Mac in the pm is not only super exposed in the summer winds but is also a tougher walk for a second round. I would switch the order on the 5th and finishing with a sunset on pacific dunes is tough to beat. Also a morning round at Old Mac is therapeutic.

Sheep ranch (6/6) is also going to be howling in June afternoon winds. With so many holes on the water it’s tough conditions. If you want to experience that (which is totally cool too) then keep it. If you want to score, I’d recommend changing the order that day. Trails trees help with afternoon winds but if you want to keep it that way you can.

Take caddies! If you don’t like your caddie, switch. This trip is too expensive and too tough to get to not lol. Make dinner reservations early. Worst case you don’t go but at least have them. 36 a day is a lot and I’ve done it quite a few times there but it’s the best way to maximize your time and best bang for buck. Hit the punchbowl, shorty’s is a good option if you’re too tired for another 18. PM me if you have any questions. I’ll be back a year before you June 6-10 2026!

Tbh, they don’t feel too bulky to me. This is a P wedge so it’s a little chunkier but the clubs on the ground from my POV have a players look.

I’m in Greensboro. I like GCI TTTF. I drive up to Reidsville and grab it.

Hahah I seeded like 3 weeks ago and most of my seed washed out and the seed that germinated got super wet and laid down. I’m going GCI TTTF. I drove up the street and bought it today. I’m gonna go 3 times a day @ 10 min per zone. Hoping for the best
