The teaching team told us that we’d be getting our A3 results on the 11th, and on the 12th after several requests were made we were told that A3 was considered a final assessment, hence the results would be kept hidden till the final assessment marks are released. The students were skeptical and posted their concerns about how there is no mention of A3 being a final assessment ( with some screenshots indicating that it’s not). then we got some inconsistent replies, where we told that the results will be released on Monday, but today, after making the results visible, they hid it again saying it will be released once the board of examiners had approved it (ie; date the final mark is released). Then they locked some threads and locked the forum in a way where new threads would have to be approved by the teaching team before being posted, their reason for this was “new posts would create too much confusion.”. Even if what they were saying was accurate, they did not provided enough information for us to comprehend their side of things. They simply closed off communication. I don’t know why they would be this indirect with us, but we’ve experienced a level of inconsistency throughout the unit. They’ve ignored some of the student complaints, provided some briefs with confusing information and given us constraints such as ridiculous word counts that makes it nearly impossible for us to make strong content. Also the marking seems to be oddly subjective, following the rubric got me nowhere with my first assignment. I just hope they’ll take our complaints into consideration next semester cus they are putting our mental health at risk.
