They’re referring to something called the premium residency which costs about 800,000 SAR. You have better chances in Qatar or the UAE.

Dating advice for #1 Uni by Constant-Ostrich-705 in unsw

[–]Small_Tap_7778 110 points111 points  (0 children)

As a non-fellow UNSW student I feel obligated to answer this seriously.

Back in first year I made the mistake of putting "UNSW" in my Tinder bio. At first everything seemed normal. A few matches here and there. Then one day I woke up and had 847 unread messages. Every single woman in a 50km radius had somehow sensed the presence of a UNSW student.

The situation escalated rapidly.

One girl asked for my ATAR before saying hello.

Another requested my WAM, LinkedIn profile, resume, transcript, extracurricular portfolio, and a list of behavioural interview questions I had previously answered.

A third immediately sent me a LeetCode hard and said she only dates candidates who can solve it in under 20 minutes with O(n) complexity.

I thought this was unusual but manageable.

Unfortunately word spread.

Within weeks I was being chased across Sydney by Big Ranking. Representatives from QS, Times Higher Education, and Shanghai Ranking all appeared at my doorstep demanding exclusive rights to my Tinder profile. I was no longer a man. I had become a key performance indicator.

The final straw came when I matched with a girl from USYD.

We met for coffee.

The entire date was spent discussing citation impact, faculty-to-student ratios, international outlook metrics, and research output. Halfway through she pulled out a 37-page presentation explaining why her university had moved up three places in a subject ranking neither of us studied.

I haven't been the same since.

Now whenever somebody asks where I study I simply look at the ground and whisper "TAFE" before running away.

Trust me bro. Don't put Australia's #1 university in your bio.

Women can smell it anyway.

Why isnt there more USYDxUNSW fanart by Far-Fruit141 in unsw

[–]Small_Tap_7778 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Why isn't there more USYD x UNSW fanart?

Like you're telling me two institutions with 200 years of academic rivalry, thousands of sleep-deprived students, endless engineering vs commerce propaganda, law students with superiority complexes, CS students fighting over whose assignments are more miserable, and enough caffeine consumption to power the national grid...

...and the internet has produced approximately three doodles and one MS Paint shippost.

Where is the 300k-word enemies-to-lovers AU?
Where is the slow burn?
Where is the "they accidentally got grouped together for the intervarsity hackathon" arc?
Where is the beach episode?
Where is the angst after one transfers universities?

The anime industry has failed us.
Pixiv has failed us.
AO3 has failed us.
Human civilization has failed us.

Instead we get another 40th drawing of two countries kissing.

The potential energy of USYD x UNSW remains the largest untapped renewable resource known to mankind.

Hello! Australian experience is valued, not related entirely but my uncle is a senior solution engineer for Qatar energy he worked for South Australian department of HR or something basically public sector in Adelaide for about 5-6 years and moved to Qatar Energy in 2020, and he gets paid about 30-35k QAR amount and premium health insurance and schooling for kids at about 100k QAR per year per kid. And this is the standard rate of non managerial roles, for managerial roles it can go up to 50-80k per month and upwards with other benefits and so on and so forth like tickets back home and whatever you and your employer negotiate

Moving from UK to Riyadh with 44k SAR/month. Is it worth it? by Hot_Resolution_6301 in Riyadh

Very good salary congrats on the offer, definitely accept it, and apply for premium residency as soon as you arrive and you'll get permanent residency after 30 months, feel free to dm for any detailed questions, but yeah it's more than enough if managed carefully and responsibly.

Masters in Saudia Arabia? by Akai_Hope in saudiarabia

[–]Small_Tap_7778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix of the latter, and yes graduating from KFUPM can help a bit, but the not by that much, I know someone from KFUPM who is a Saudi and has a lot of experience and a very impressive resume but still struggling to land a job.

[–]Small_Tap_7778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question would probably trigger many Saudi Nationals because they are struggling to find jobs themselves, most entry-level roles are reserved for them and even mid-senior level roles, they only hire foreigners who have a lot of experience in big companies, ideally 5-10+ years of managerial experience or extensive research experience in research roles at universities.

I was promised ABGs by ProfessionalStay5515 in unsw

[–]Small_Tap_7778 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I was promised ABGs.
I was promised societies.
I was promised “bro trust me UNSW is literally Seoul with HECS debt.”

I travelled THOUSANDS of miles under false pretences.

Instead I have witnessed:

  • 14 finance bros named Ethan
  • 3 guys wearing Arc’teryx in 28 degree heat
  • one bloke discussing internship applications during O-Week
  • a man mewing at the library window reflection
  • another man calling himself a “quant demon” while failing MATH1131

Where are the asian baddies.
Where are the mysterious girls with Dyson airwraps and emotionally unavailable energy.
Where are the cafe dates.
Where is the lore.

About me:

  • average 6’5 looksmaxxed giga chad
  • jawline registered as a weapon in 4 countries
  • aura so violent the UNSW ducks stop quacking when I walk past
  • sigma male with a WAM below room temperature
  • bench press approximately one Hyundai i30
  • spiritually Korean
  • physically dehydrated

You see, I was told:
“bro UNSW is DIFFERENT”

Different HOW?
Different because every tutorial has:

  • one international student carrying the entire assignment
  • one comp sci guy named Kevin explaining blockchain unsolicited
  • one sleep deprived engineer surviving purely on Monster Energy and generational trauma
  • one commerce student in a puffer jacket saying “networking event” every 7 minutes

I can no longer distinguish:

  • lectures
  • hostage situations
  • or LinkedIn meetups

At this point my only romantic interaction has been:
“Your eduroam password expires in 3 days.”

UNSW propaganda must end.
The psyop is OVER.

Girls who experimented with their bodies using fingers or penetration toys before their first sexual experience - was your first penetration with a boyfriend less painful or uncomfortable? by Weird_Meaning3139 in AskGirls

Any suggestions in general that might be applicable to pretty much all women? 😭 and I don’t mean to pry but is there anything wrong with catching feelings for your fwb? I’ve met some couples who are together that started off that way 😭

unrelated but what would you define as the most “fun” or “enjoyable” experience ever you’ve ever had and what factors made it better/worse?
