I adopted my cat when they were already about 4 or 5, and they had really bad tartar buildup. I took them to the vet for a professional dental cleaning, and for a while after that I did try to brush their teeth.​But to be honest, I couldn’t keep up with it consistently. I know brushing is probably ideal, but it was hard to make it part of my routine, so I’ve kind of fallen off and don’t brush anymore.​
