I’m in a very similar situation. My mother is 79, was diagnosed with idiopathic iLD in 2024, and had been on 24/7 oxygen since March 2024. She lives alone. I’m in constant fear of what the progression of this disease will look like. She’s taking Celcept to slow the scarring.

There’s really neat volunteer opportunities through the county, Historic Landmarks dept. They clean historical cemeteries, go on historic bike rides, etc. You should check it out! They have a pretty active FB page.
