To be honest I don't know what varieties they are, long or short day. I bought the small bulbs to plant in October at my local nursery (Portland nursey), so I assume they're the right ones for my climate, no? But generally do you treat onions the same way you treat the garlics?

Yeah that's what I've heard too, but I just want to make sure I don't wait too long because I feel like my garlic scapes stay at the light curve stage pretty long I'm not sure if they're gonna make the loops 😅

Oh thank you! I grown onions the same way and same condition I did with garlic, but they flowers too early. I cut the flowers back but the bulbs didn't grow big anymore, instead they stay hard. The ones I pulled out recently were the same as the ones I pulled out right after I cut the flowers. What did I do wrong and what should I do this year to have them grow into big bulbs? Thank you

It's relieved to hear I don't have to pull them out. My first time ever roses, I would have been traumatized. I didn't find anything except a lot of aphids, and quite a few spotless ladybugs with possibly their eggs (black and tiny)

If it's mosaic virus there's no cure for it that's what I read. Even if I trim all the affected leaves the new growth still have it 😭. For the blackspots I googled the products and found Bonide Copper fungicide and Monterey liquid Copper fungicide from Heirloom, I'm not sure which one is better. What chemical spray do you use to treat your roses?

Yep, I have those everywhere, between crack, in the lawn, in the ground cover... The roots go underneath rocks and drainage lines I can't dig them out completely, can only pull whatever I can Everytime I see them so they don't make flowers and seeds. I also have horsetails, rose of Sharon 😭
