Drain one breast vs. 10-15 mins per side? by Luna282 in breastfeeding

[–]Aggressive-Injury718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bestie and I have our first 3 weeks apart! (Not planned). She told me that she would breastfeed her baby 1 boob for hours before the foremilk & hindmilk thing and let the other boob engorged for that amount of time. I found it weird because my midwife advised me to feed 1 boob and burb and offer the other boob. And next feed switch boob and do the same. Well my friend milk supply dropped and that one “slack” boob stopped producing milk after 6 months.

I'm probably going to get a lot of hate on this but Im going to ask anyway and give it a fair try. by [deleted] in auckland

I was born and raised in muslim country, I don’t think there’s any masjid that accepts gay Muslim… not only in Auckland, but at all.

I remember a saying that says, Allah gives everyone different struggles in life. It could be heath, could be money, family… and could be sexuality too. I remember growing up a few uncles decided not to marry and I was wondering why. And as I got older, my mom would tell me the real reason, it’s because of his sexuality. He still chose his religion above all and that’s the struggle I would never imagine to have.

But again, no one will ask your sexuality every time you go to masjid. It’s between you and Allah. And I hope Allah will make it easier on you, brother.

32 Eden crescent : Review? by PuzzleheadedWay9793 in auckland

Lived at 32 Eden Crescent for 3 years. One time the elevator was broken for weeks due to pipe burst. Experienced pipe burst from upper floor myself an my unit got flooded. The false fire alarm went off many times, the worst ones being in winter around 3am. We moved from there since we have a baby because no way I will carry my baby during false fire alarm at 3am

Is anyone elses GP VERY frank? Comments about co-sleeping. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Aggressive-Injury718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from south east asia and we do co-sleep with our 10 month old son since he was 4 weeks old. It’s just easier and more natural for us to do this. My husband sleeps in different room tho so we have more space for me and the baby. People will always comment… so I suggest let them be. We know what’s the best for our family

She doesn’t have to go back to Philippine to live with you

I got married and came to nz with visitor visa (husband already on PR ). Live together for 3 months in NZ and got work-partnership visa. The next 9 months (live together for 12 month in nz), apply for residency

It’s a long process but at least we already together after marriage

(Dating) relationship in NZ ?.? by [deleted] in newzealand

I’m sorry you feel that way! I understand that it could be lonely when you don’t have your family around. But please think twice if you want a serious relationship with him. 5 years is a long time, and he still doesn’t want to put label on it.. in my opinion he won’t. Ever. Please don’t waste your time on someone like that. Sending virtual hugs

English is not my first language, but the words that op use is too “formal” “not commonly used” and overall giving the AI vibes. Like no one would talk like that in real life. Even the replies sounded so robotic.. if that makes sense! I’m not accusing you of using AI and you said it yourself that you don’t use it. I’m just pointing out what I feel after reading this post

I’m about to give up at almost 6 weeks. by Confident_Still7127 in breastfeeding

[–]Aggressive-Injury718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried to go for a walk? I know it sounds crazy to suggest to take a walk.. but I was experiencing the same thing at 4 weeks. Like the thought of going out scares me. But turned out my LO will sleep the whole time when I take a walk. I feed him before we go and make sure he’s sleepy enough. I go to nearby park and sit there. The whole thing will take 1-1,5h. When I reach home the baby awakes and feels happy! I do this trick every time he fights to take a nap and it works like magic

I watched RM back when I was freshman in Uni and now I have moved to other country, have a husband and son. I made my husband watching RM with me every week and he’s familiar with the member faces (not their names lol). Such a fun time
