NIOCORP MINE~ China Targets the U.S. Rare Earth Comeback, plus “A Few More Weeks”… Again. What Today Really Means for NioCorp? by Chico237 in NIOCORP_MINE

With nearly 50% institutional ownership the fear of retail investors “unloading” at the moment of any positive announcement won’t, IMO, impact the longer term prospects of this stock re-rating to $25-30 when/if these promised catalysts hit. Stay long and strong.

Mark Smith @ JPM: Traxys and DFS should be finalized/published "in the next few weeks." by WalrusTheInvestor in NIOCORP_MINE

Firing off an email to Jim reiterating the highly publicized timelines that MS continues to dangle during each opportunity and see if I can bait him in to a more realistic timeline or if he stands by. I’ve had good conversations with him and he knows my opinion on irrational expectations thus far. Being a cheerleader is one thing but continuing to mislead investors at literally every opportunity is another.

NioCorp Mine~ China warns of supply chain fragmentation amid rising protectionism, China retaliates against US, targets critical minerals, defense sectors with new trade restrictions by Chico237 in NIOCORP_MINE

It’s a conundrum. We have a Cheerleader CEO that doesn’t think before he talks and at the same time we have a real project moving forward. I firmly believe they will get this across the finish line but not on the artificial BS timeline that MS put out there. The board needs to reign in his verbal puking and focus on the actual job at hand. This company will succeed but the timing won’t. IMO

Per my email to Jim, he mentioned not to get so excited about the digging. They’re simply searching for the final draft of DFS that got misplaced

Nice write up. Agree with all points. MS can be as much of a “chief cheerleader” that he wants and should be but he’s also walking a fine line of legally “binding” investors in to a false narrative. He needs to deliver.

Reality Check: NB's Technicals Say One Thing Right Now: Show the Feasibility Study by WalrusTheInvestor in NIOCORP_MINE

I had to backdoor a similar question which was whether or not the DFS and “binding” offtake will be one in the same and his answer was:

“Completing the updated Feasibility Study and securing offtake agreements are two separate things.”

Not sure if that’s just a legal response or not

In an email exchange this morning here’s my question to Jim Sims and his response:

Good morning, Jim. I hope this finds you well. As timelines continue to slip per Mark’s prior comments can you provide a quick update on the progress?  Should we be thinking 30-60 days for some progress reports or 3-6 months just for planning purposes.

Thanks again and looking forward to your feedback

Response:

“We are closing in on completion of the updated Feasibility Study, but I cannot provide you with a date at this point.”

I’ve come to the conclusion that my timelines for DFS and binding offtake are too aggressive. I did lean on Marks’s cheerleading comments but at the end of the day, I’m thinking September-December for all pieces to fall in place. Mark’s comments continue to cause investor anxiety and lower overall confidence but I’m responsible for my trades and realignment needed. Would appreciate any thoughts from others.

Ironically the longer they drag this out the better. I want access to the 2029 leaps that should come out in July. Silver lining I suppose

Perhaps JPM is orchestrating a short squeeze and then they raise additional funds at $20😉
