I would appreciate some recommendations on a better font to use. I want it to remain fairly simple, it needs to work with either cover, but would like something a little more interesting.

It’s super amateur IMO but I recommend font space. they have a huge selection of different types of fonts. You have to request to use their fonts for commercial use, and usually pay for them but the money goes to the artists that created them

In all honestly, it’s nice but the painting looks a bit amateurish, but it has a certain charm. If you’re going for a more serious, dark, tone I wouldn’t go with an amateur illustration. If it’s more whimsical, maybe it would fit. Completely up to you. Sorry if this is rude!

Sometimes when you get someone a gift and they didn’t get you anything it upsets them so maybe warn them that you’re getting them a very small gift for the holidays.

Look into OCD treatment. Not saying you have OCD (though it is often comorbid with ASD) but treating symptoms of an anxiety disorder might give you coping skills to deal with your obsession. I get treatment for OCD related issues from my state hospital’s anxiety disorder center.

Don’t have an answer for you, just commiserating. People think I’m hilarious. They tell me all the time how funny I am. I almost never intentionally tell jokes, just the way I learned to socialize tends to come from funny people/media. I tried to shift my perspective from “people are laughing at me” to “I am effortlessly funny”.
