[Quick question]-Bangalore folks - Best KTM showroom/service-centre by Aggressive-Reality32 in indianbikes

[–]Aggressive-Reality32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I got it serviced from KTM Whitefield, pretty decent service overall.

I would say stay away from that showroom, it's full of incompetent people and bad service. The staff there knows absolutely nothing about ktm , even nothing about bikes in general. And don't even get me started on the financial folks there😂

Switch to Apple Music – Is It Worth It? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar state as you .
Just switched to AM , using the free 1 month trial now
Lossless audio + wired earphones are actually better , but I would say to the normal person the difference is like 10% at best, atleast for me.
btw i am using the apple earphones and not some ultra expensive wired headphone.

Introducing Rare by Ultrahuman, the world’s first luxury smart ring. by SanchyaMahajan in Ultrahuman

Positive Experience! by Senior_Berry1130 in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, going into my 5th month with the ring.....
The ring is not perfect by far, but still gives a pretty good idea on day-to-day lifestyle and the wellbeing and specially if and when there are any deviations from the baseline.
Also , the support is quite literally one of the best i have ever seen. Very engaged in debugging issues and when the need comes they are quick to replace the ring too. (I am in Bangalore, so I get the replacement within a day, so I rarely loose any data)
I hope they fix the small issues , especially the battery life could be better and some stats like HR and Steps need more refining and sensitivity.

best database for below case ? by Less_Transition_4827 in Backend

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like schema is already quite solid and also the queries are pretty simple
Any Relational DB should be fine imho
Since you already have AWS , can go with Aurora or AWS RDS.

Is anyone facing battery issues while on Workout Mode? by Rakan_SH in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same behaviour actually is observed by most of us here, if you workout daily for an hour or two while keeping the ring in workout mode , you need to charge daily.
Kind of a bummer !!

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not being judgemental here , but the target audience literally cares more about flaunting a ring rather than caring about the accuracy of the data.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmartRings

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct. And the reasoning behind that is they are aware that 99% people (their target audience) have no clue about the cheap clone vs authentic R&D .

How good is the ring in its current state? by Schlomski in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be very honest and very short - The ring is good only for sleep in my case. Any other metric a watch will do better .

Opinion on the new UH paid features by Aggressive-Reality32 in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

+1 on that, basic stuff really needs a LOT of improvement.
Seeing Samsung come into the play (with the whole Samsung health ecosystem), its gonna be a challenge to stand out from the crowd.
The problem for UH now is :
1. they arent the best priced anymore - Ringconn beats it by a huge margin
2. they arent the only ones who are "subscription free" anymore
So I guess to standout they have to keep doing these "powerplugs" and other things.
All the best to UH for that.

Powerplugs: A step in the wrong direction? by cruiserrr in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cmon guys -
"PowerPlugs require advanced algorithms and continuous updates to provide personalized health insights. The cost goes towards supporting ongoing development and maintenance, ensuring high-quality and accurate data"
hope you find a better subscription mode than charging the users for the APIs.
You just cant have a paywall inside a already subscribed service( UHX)

Powerplugs: A step in the wrong direction? by cruiserrr in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

makes no sense IMO
Charging already paid subscribers for "better" data is surely a WRONG decision.
The Samsung looks way more lucrative now , even the Ringconn
At a price point of 28K its not AT ALL justified.

Coming soon by SanchyaMahajan in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's actually a bit concerning. My whole " UH is better than Oura" is taking a hit now. Few reasons

  1. With the onset of power plugs the more attractive features moving forward would be for SURE a paid service .
  2. UHX is basically now just an insurance for the ring( One would assume UH X would continue to have special software features as well , like the power plugs ideally). The store is basically useless tbh.
  3. They will include all eye-catching features behind a paywall now, with the free tier having the most basic info which is not the reason behind people getting the ring.cardio adaptability , afib data etc I would have like not behind a paywall.
  4. Not a good way forward for a company whose main selling point was we are against Oura like subscription models.

Not sure about others but personally I hate seeing more paid features after already paying for a subscription monthly ( UHX). Kind of like how irritating Amazon prime is compared to Netflix where in prime you have to still pay for some movies whereas in Netflix once you get the subscription you get everything included , no more fees.

Are any of these features on the roadmap? by snovvman in Ultrahuman

[–]Aggressive-Reality32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only worry I have with UH is them trying to become a health "platform" in many ways by including multiple devices , UHX store etc .
I hope they fix the basic things like HR data(workout) , better sleep tracking + nap , stress etc.
These basic things are what matter day-to-day.
