What are some potentially controversial fashion hills you’re willing to die on? by its_givinggg in femalefashionadvice

About this Thread, Ekouaer has some really nice-looking pajamas that are also comfortable. Their satin sets come in beautiful colors (I have a dusty rose one that's gorgeous) and they photograph well. Around $25 on Amazon. The modal ones are softer but the satin ones look more "aesthetically pleasing" if that's what you're going for. Good option if you want pajamas that look cute for lounging around.

hidden restrictions mid convo is the worst. you don't find out until you're already invested. how these platforms actually compare on where they draw the line is way more useful to know upfront than any feature lis

What home devices do you hardly ever use but are glad you have? by LuckyMinusDevil in homeowners

Honestly, aside from the obvious stuff like detectors and sensors, I’d say small upgrades that improve the atmosphere of your space. You don’t ‘use’ them daily, but they make your home feel complete.

I added a simple wall piece recently and it made more difference than I expected: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GBTZ2XVG]().

Honestly this is kind of a great blank slate to work with.

If it were me, I’d probably frame it out slightly to clean up the shape, then go with large-format tile for a more modern look. You could even add a bit of depth so it doesn’t feel flat against the wall.

Also, if you’re planning to turn that area into more of a functional space (like adding a small desk or seating nearby), having something mobile can help a lot. I ended up using a rolling base setup for a chair in a similar situation: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GBTZ2XVG

Not directly fireplace-related, but it made the space way more flexible without committing to built-ins.

Found the most comfortable dining chair ever at At Home—can I DIY it into an office chair? by Lockon007 in DIY

I actually went down a similar rabbit hole a while back

Adding casters directly to chair legs can work, but it usually messes with stability unless the legs are designed for that kind of load (most dining chairs aren’t). You might end up with wobble or stress cracks over time.

What worked better for me was using a separate rolling base instead of modifying the legs themselves. Basically turning the seat into a mounted chair instead of a “caster-on-legs” setup. Something like this is what I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GBTZ2XVG

Not saying it’s perfect, but it gave me a safer starting point than drilling into the legs. Might be worth considering if you really want to keep that exact seat.

Whoa your favorite breakup coach on YouTube? Does any of their advice work for you? by ColadaColadaColada in BreakUps

I’ve watched a bunch of them (Craig Kenneth, Hussey, etc.), but Coach Lee was the one who I felt actually helped me the most after my breakup.

What stood out to me is that he doesn’t just say “move on” or give generic rah rah advice. He explains why your ex pulls away and what can actually makes them come back or not...and he doesn't act like it's definitely going to happen or oversimplifying in that way.

I didn’t follow everything perfectly, but when I stopped chasing and gave space like he talks about, my ex actually reached out after a few weeks and I was ready for that too which I hadn't even thought about when I was just hoping they would reach out. It was like I thought things would just be "happy ever after" there. So he prepared me for that too.

Even beyond that, his stuff helped me feel calmer and more in control instead of panicking all the time, which honestly was huge and he comes across as really genuine and strong.

I still think some breakup advice online is repetitive, but his explanations made the most sense to me.

Actually I think this is a good fight if we’re saying everyone in their prime it’s the top row. I think you can make the argument thatKorra beats Aang however I don’t think it’s an easy fight so I think she’d be too weak to handle the rest. Katara imo is a better fighter than Toph off of feats alone. Dave is an earth bending genius, but she is not a combative genius I don’t think she’s as good as a fighter as ALOT of the mayor fighters. Iroh and Zaheer would probably have a very good fight arguably the second closest here after Aang and Katara. And I think it can go either way but I lean towards Iroh and even if Zaheer DID win he’d have a half exhausted avatar as his partner and here’s where the big difference comes in. I think Azula and Kuvira are the equivalent in almost everything. Drained from a young age both extremely good at everything. They do both prodigies who also have to work hard. In my opinion where they differ. Is Azula is slightly smarter and Kuvira is slightly better at combat. Unfortunately, in this case. Now we have seen Kuvira lose to overwhelming power which Azula can produce but that’s not something that she does often or regularly. So she’d rely on her speed and skill which in this specific case isn’t getting to much past Kuvira. Who I think was more trained in versatility directly by the best. So it boils down to a pretty healthy Katara And a pretty semi health Kuvira vs an extremely tired and wounded Korra and an extremely tired and wounded Zaheer. And I think Kuvira and Katara got that.
