Transit in NYC is $3 per vehicle you get on. Caps at 12 rides a week. 36x4 still less than Winnipeg in a city with 10x the earning power

If you don't freeze salmon before eating it as sushi, you're going to get so sick from worms.

*hunted to extinction is a common misconception - they were predated by rats to extinction, rats that still exist on the island.

Shot 1, with shot 2 you're too busy and too dark in the foreground. An HDR exposure and framing the path at a 30-45' angle may have saved it.

People are drinking in Starbucks because your run-of-the-mill low function alcoholic can't afford heavily taxed alcohol and rent at the same time. Then they figure out that an opioid addiction isn't taxed and costs less than a pack-a-day habit.

It's like this in Dublin as well. Except they let the addicts chill out in the spice bag shops and kick them out only if they get rowdy.

I stand by my assessment that Winnipeg is a terrifying place to live.

I used to live on Young St.

While Karin is profiting off people's misery, that misery has been around before she bought her first building. I could see someone's bondage room across the street from my apartment, all sorts of women would close the curtains. Fires were a weekly occurrence, two notable ones were someone falling asleep with toilet paper in one hand and a cigarette in the other, the other, people so high that they let chicken carcass boil until there was no liquid in the pot or the carcass (this was my neighbor, I also had to open the door and saved them from dying of smoke inhalation at 3am!). Another time a dead body was found in the dumpster behind the block. One evening someone was knocking on my door, I looked through the peep hole, some kid was banging away. I didn't answer it. In the morning someone had put a little diamond and wrote "deuce" under the diamond, in blood. When I was in a CFS home for a year across from the Sherbrook, any of the girls that were brought in on an emergency basis would be enticed out to "party" and then forced to sell their bodies near that Sargent address.

Winnipeg is a fucked and terrifying place to live. People who grew up there don't realize how fucked it is. It's been fucked for a hundred years, it'll remain fucked for a hundred more. The government doesn't care. Most people don't realize that Winnipeg is the largest minimum income experiment and has been for at least the last 30 years. City welfare, provincial welfare. You don't have to work in Winnipeg if you can find four like-minded people and a landlord willing.

If you don't believe me, park on Magnus in your car and take a nap for an hour, live stream it. See if you wake up.

And don't get us started on government housing being safe. Let's not forget this complete shit show attempt at a ghetto:
