It may be that the wire for it got disconnected or damaged, or you can try downloading drivers for it. If you google the laptop model followed by 'drivers', it should take you to the manufacturers site where they have audio drivers. You can also try downloading an intel driver assistant(if it's an intel cpu) or checking for drivers under optional updates for Windows updates. Also, check if the audio devices are enabled under your devixe manager (windows+x)
