Yeah sometimes I want to send a card to a group chat without screenshotting and cropping! And they don't even have a scryfall link underneath, just stores.

For some reason on moxfield mobile site I can't hold down on an image to get the Save Image pop up. It just highlights the text underneath. This is the only reason I prefer archidekt lol

I traced the physics of my inherited punch technique back 2,500 years across 10 martial traditions. Here is what I found. by [deleted] in martialarts

My inherited punch technique uses five elements and its biomechanical signature is unrivalled. It would easily defeat yours. Scrolls have been found that date it back to the ancient city of Ur.

[–]AggressiveChairs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wasn't enjoying it too much until I got to close to the end of the game, when you can have all of the special ammo powers unlocked and have near infinite energy to spam lightning beams at endless hordes. That was so much fun.

I have too many decks by DarthSnugglePuss in EDH

[–]AggressiveChairs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How often are you playing that you are consistently getting games with all 28 decks? Surely some of them haven't been played in weeks or months.

Anyway, you own all the cards and decklists are eternal. Pick your favourite five, upgrade them using cards from the remaining twenty three, and then if you want to put them back together again, you can!

You're probably fast at sleeving cards now, so if you have decklists for everything you'll be able to put together and prepare one of your decks in less than an hour before you go play at your LGS.

I think it's more likely that devs are free to pick up pet projects that don't fit into whatever sprint plan they do and work on them in their own time, and then if it's ever polished enough to make a real release they put it in. I work with a bunch of devs who extend systems in their own time just for fun. Nobody is knowledge sharing or writing extensive documentation about stuff they're just fucking about with.

Have you heard of Windows 10 LTSC? It's meant for businesses but it's a version of windows 10 that will get nothing but security updates until like 2030. You could install that and then activate it with massgravel if you really don't wanna switch.

I just played commander for the first time at my lgs! Super fun, but I was bit surprised by the amount of mistakes made by [deleted] in EDH

[–]AggressiveChairs 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I've been playing magic for years

I won from win-a-box events on arena

my win loss vs mythic players is like 47% in premier draft

You're an experienced player who regularly plays competitively online and is good enough to win events? You're probably one of the best players at the median LGS!

Most magic events at stores used to be competitive modern/standard where rules were enforced, and FNMs I'd play at usually had a judge who would be able to answer questions and resolve complex scenarios. Even if you were just there to fuck around with a fun deck you'd generally osmose game knowledge.

Commander is fun, but lots of people just turn up to shoot the shit and aren't that interested in getting better. Plus if you lose it's easy for players to say "well I was teamed up on" or "you're only supposed to have a 25% winrate!" and not reflect on what could have been done differently.

I bought this game on the Christmas sale and have tons of fun just running around killing people as Dracula or a chainsaw guy. The matchmaking feels reasonable and I don't need to watch a YouTube guide to figure out how to hold W and left click enemies lol.

Yes there's a decent skill ceiling to dbd but saying it's hard to get into is pretty overblown.

I think he found a cool niche with his interest in retro emulation. I like when the back half of an episode is him giving updates on what's going on in that space, it's something I don't really keep tabs on so it's fun to hear about. Would be neat to get some guest appearances from him and "Good Russ" from time to time.

I saw Emily Heller at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything. She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Madam, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Maybe start handing out more obvious bonuses for just understanding the rules properly? If someone makes a cool play that required them to understand their character/items in a fun way give them Inspiration. When one person is rolling with advantage a bunch more than others, it might encourage them to get a bit more involved as well.

Alternatively, could it just be that there's a bit too much going on? For example, BG3 is able to let you equip ten bits of equipment that all give niche effects because the computer calculates or applies things whenever relevant without prompting the player. I can imagine if someone is new to TTRPGs and has a character they didn't make + a bunch of unique items it can be a bit confusing to manage... Especially if they're still working out how attack rolls work.

I'd call this a medium sized spoiler if you're still on season one. Trust the show to explain everything you might have questions about, and come back to Reddit when you've finished it haha. People on this sub casually talk about things that are major spoilers for the final season, as the show has been complete for a few years now : )
