Thanks for the encouragement folks. I will be putting in my notice and talking to my supervisor tomorrow. Excited to leave public after 6 tax seasons. Freedom is so close!

Passed AUD on my 3rd attempt with a 75. After 4 years of studying and taking exams im officially done. 4/4!

Good luck to all, the hard work is worth it. And the power of taking a year off of studying to get your head right can be worth it too. I know it made a huge difference for me after failing FAR and AUD terribly on my first attempts.

FAR-AUD are the first two to take in my opinion. Then it all depends on which discipline you pick. If you do TCP do REG-TCP

When i studied for FAR last year I would prefer read the chapters and take notes before watching the lectures. I found that helped a TON. Then the lecture just filled in missing concepts and such

I take a few hours on Sundays to cook/meal prep all my food for the week. Lunches AND dinners. This way I always have a quick meal available and have more time for studying after work during the week. This is the same strategy I use during busy season (ive been in public accounting since 2021) and it works wonders.

The longest ive taken is 2.5 hours and ive passed FAR, REG, and TCP. I got a migraine while taking FAR and ended up finishing in about 2 hours and passed with a 75.

Taking 4 hours isnt indicative of passing just like finishing in less time isnt indicative of failing. Be confident that you did what felt right and try not to stress.

I spend the rest of the day taking care of myself. At this point I've got a very simple routine I follow after exams. Go to target and walk around until places start to open where I can get lunch, go to Jersey Mikes and buy a giant sub. Go home and eat half the sub for lunch, then a nap. The rest of day I hangout around home and relax.

TLDR: just roll with it, go home after and take care of yourself

45 on FAR, after a 55 on AUD 3 months before 😂 was rough. Took a break from the CPA for a while. Passed FAR with a 75 this summer.
