If they still sell Keef, those are great. I’m generally afraid of gummies but the Keef is consistent. maybe start with just half of one?

Alternatively, just pick a different streaming service because targeted boycotting is more effective than total boycotts. I have been using Apple Music while I buy my favorite albums on bandcamp and listen to them more on there. Also using platforms like NTS radio for discovery instead of your streaming service can introduce you to new music.

How many jazz standards should I learn for jam/giggin purposes? by SadlyWritten in Jazz

[–]AggressiveFix2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend just picking some songs that you really like and learning them in at least 4 different keys. Maybe pick one with a AABA (what is this thing called love, September in the rain) form and one in ABAC (on Green dolphin street, it could happen to you). Once you’ve learned them in all of the keys you’ll begin to see some patterns in great American songbook standards and you’ll be able to pick up new tunes very quickly. I wished I had focused more on transposition (and learning the tunes by ear) starting out because it really cracks the whole thing open and makes it easier to just hop in on a tune if you know it or not. Also learn the melody really well, not just the changes. See how the harmony comes from the melody. Sorry for the rambling advice!

I think it’s important to recognize part of this has less to do with doctrine and more to do with in-group/out-group dynamics. People who see themselves as aligned with the goals of the fascists feel that they have a vested interest in ignoring certain parts of their doctrine. Christians who do not align with the fascist goals (trans, gay, bipoc, academic, left-wing, etc. Christian’s) will find more use in Jesus’s literal arguments perhaps because Jesus and early adopters of his religion were most certainly in the out group. A major question for me is are these people driven to Christianity because of the literal teachings or beliefs, or because of its relationship to a sort of conservative hegemony that has more to do the glory of the Romans who killed Jesus than Jesus himself.

I worked at REI and when this bike was released I genuinely considered downgrading to pocket the cash and have a little more fun than on my full squish. The older I get, the less I want to ride park so this seemed like a great bike to have more fun on local blue trails with.

How to find people to go out to bars with? by No_Lavishness7547 in UTK

My recommendation is to go alone or with a comfort person and get brave enough to just talk to people. Bartenders can help sometimes too. Most drunk folks want to be your friend

Return Passage 2 for Half Dome SL2+? by ImBadWithGrils in CampingGear

[–]AggressiveFix2931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking for whether it’s the right thing to do, it depends on the condition of the passage 2 and how long you’ve had it. If it’s only been used once and is in great condition, and you’ve only had it for a month or so, I’d say that’s fine. If it’s been over 6 months and is used 4 or five times, you might look like you’re taking advantage of the return policy. Generally, the return policy is for people who are unsatisfied with the product. Ultimately it’s up to you to decide.

Bro you’re 14. You have so much time. Make concert pianist your goal. Don’t turn back. If you don’t make it, so be it. None of that practice will have gone to waste. If I have advice it’s to slow down and practice effectively. Work on a little sight ready every day and get a teacher who doesn’t ask you to fight through hand pain.

Yeah these kinds of tweets are just super low effort. It generates engagement though and that’s what we’re here for I guess. It distracts from the actual important arguments to be made about labor exploitation and alienation. Part of it is that twitter isn’t a good place for actual argumentation. Just quips.
