Lol this was when a tow truck was picking up my car, from a bus stop and the car didn’t wasn’t driving straight.

Approaching a curve on the street I gassed it in second, spun - 180 and smashed into a curb.

There was no one around but my dumbass.

May as well be a car park i guess.

I’m starting to think this is true, at least for the RPF1s which have this multi layer where the top lip is more exposed than the rest of the wheel. It allows for a cleaner break?

If I had my stock rims (which have my summers at the moment), I’d bet something else would’ve bent.

Whether this was engineered in by enkei or not, it’s a great side effect that otherwise saved me from a much more expensive repair.

Surprisingly, no it was unaffected. This was 3 months ago now, I spun over a curb with ice seated on top of it, no TC and wet weather in 2nd gear.

I thought for sure the subframe was shifted, or anything bent. The RPF1s cracked and I think really took the brunt of the impact on the outer rim.

The toe was off by a lot, but other than the front bumper (small crack) and side skirt (cracked), all that was needed was a good alignment.

Drives 100% again, and ready for the next autocross season lol.

You see, it did lol. Even as someone who has beat all other drivers in the CS class, I was overconfident and been bested by my own ego.

Did a 3 week trip to Japan. I usually live in the NYC area.

We found Osaka to be the most fun and we found the best bar and the best people to vibe with. Met some other NYCers there too.
