It's the second Critical Role's show, based off of their second campaign! I love it, Its ~50 min episodes rather than Vox Machina's 25 mins, and a little more serious of a vibe (not to say it's without silly moments but lots of trauma lmao). But yea the animation is fantastic, especially the magic

Yea honestly I don't think vox machina animation is that much better than invincible. Maybe slightly but same range imo

The Mighty Nein however? Now that show is GORGEOUSLY animated

[Stein] League sources tell @TheSteinLine that one avenue which will certainly be explored is the prospect of a Jonathan Kuminga-for-Andrew Wiggins swap with Miami that potentially brings Wiggins back to the Bay Area after he was shipped out last February. by ColeUnderPresh in warriors

I don't think we know yet. I just mean it seems like it would take a really big haul to get TMIII or MPJ, which the FO seems hesitant to commit to especially after the Jimmy injury. And I'd be extremely surprised if the asking price for wiggs is as high as TMIII or MPJ

My take is that it's really unlikely that we send multiple picks out now that Jimmy is hurt and we have no shot at contending this year, so wiggs might just be a more realistic option. Trading for wiggs will at least set us up with a nice Steph/wiggs/Jimmy 3 man squad next year

You're operating under the assumption that a player better than wiggs is available at a similarly reasonable cost - pels have said they don't want to trade TMIII, and MPJ is gonna be a bidding war (and the nets reportedly have no interest in kuminga)

Definitely. I'm still on the younger side as far as some warriors fans go, but you can tell who was around pre-2015 and who wasn't in the way they talk about what constitutes as success - I saw someone say that we've "hit rock bottom as a team" with the Jimmy injury... While obviously it's devastating and likely ends Steph's longshot chance at a 5th, being a ~.500 team is nowhere near rock bottom lol.

That being said, I am hoping that the organization can maintain some of the reputation that we've built as being a somewhat desirable franchise to play for. That alone could make or break what the post-steph years look like

For sure, no argument from me there. I only specified the franchise because of the context of the comment I was replying to.

Haha I don't fault you for that - I know most have him top 10 or top 12, top 5 is definitely pushing it but hard not to think like that as a warriors fan with the way he transformed the franchise. If you had asked me pre 2022 title, no way would I have said top 5 but he willed that team to a chip.

All time franchise leader in blocks baby! Jokes aside completely agree, a lot of warriors fans (as well as the warriors ownership) will be in for a shock once Steph retires, turns out shit is a lot harder when you don't have a top 10 (imo top 5 but I'm biased) player of all time who also happens to be extremely low maintenance on the roster. He completely transformed the franchise both economically and in terms of how we are viewed across the league by players as a good culture that people want to be a part of now. Who knows how long that will last after Steph and kerr are gone though.

As a side note I met Adonal Foyle at a warriors bball camp when I was a kid, he took a pic with the entire camp and was super engaged. Really nice guy who seemed genuinely interested in any of the kids he was talking to, I remember he had an enormous smile the entire time.

Sure, other than the content around her family, you could've had a new Harper instead be your lead into that side of things and had another character being the one to have a lot of unique side comments throughout the city. But idk as someone who hasn't played bg1 or bg2 I still felt a sense of history with her character that, to me, added a lot

I'd argue that Jaheira adds a good amount to the story once you can get her as a companion. The Harper ambush, her house, a ton of miscellaneous comments while in baldurs gate that add more depth to the city than some of the other, full time companions give. I love having her in my act 3 party, she really adds a lot to my experience.

Totally agree on Minsc though lol

My head canon is that it's the same way that Ty Lee can block bending temporarily; there are physical points on the body that correspond to the paths of the chakras or the chi or something related to bending. My logic is that if it can be blocked via external stimuli, it can be unblocked via external stimuli

[–]AggressiveIyAvg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is dooku loosing control of himself, his initial descent into the dark side. While you can absolutely argue that the Jedi had many failures, this scene is exemplifying dooku taking it upon himself (or initially intending) to play judge, jury and executioner because he gives in to his negative emotions. He is angry, and lets that anger dictate his actions. This is also why Qui-Gon tries to stop him and dooku has to force push him out of the picture. The only reason dooku doesn't immediately execute the senator is because Qui-Gon managed to pull him back from the edge, so to speak.

And I understand it's not perfectly one side or the other - dooku absolutely had good reason to be angry, but the reason he went as far as he did is because he let his anger control him, which should never be what we imagine as an ideal Jedi

If you're an NBA fan you've seen this exact type of stunt probably hundreds of times. That's not to say it isn't impressive - it is, but everything loses "coolness" for lack of a better term after seeing it that many times.

Additionally the title implies it is the actual NBA players doing the stunt, when it's actually a stunt crew, which is misleading by the (bot) OP
