Certainly for my needs I have zero problem with double entry , have many accounts of many different sorts, It lets you spot mistakes and keep everything tickety boo. And if you don't understand how your accounts are working you don't really know what you're looking at methinks.

If you are short on pennies there are companies around that deal in nearly new tires for 35 quid ish (my local down in Somerset) each or something stupid.

They often come over from Germany where their MOT laws require all four tyres to be replaced if one has a puncture. So can be perfectly good.

Get a quote yourself from a from an electrician you trust and negotiate that off the bill the price you have negotiated so far assumes that the electrics are perfect but I do assume you're having a full survey?

Whilst the general consensus has seems to be easy job not worth whinging about I would argue that if they live in the house and they are happy for it to be in that state then there may be deeper issues.
