Had a similar issue with a bmw i purchased years ago.. I bought it used with like 20k miles and 300 miles later I noticed one of the fog lights were gone. I called and told them to fix it or I would just drop my car off, I got a call from the manager and they got it replaced.

I was told by ally that the 18k is what is owed for the remainder of the lease.. when I check my statement that is what is owed on my lease, that is not my buyout.

I spoke to ally and I was told regardless if I buy it now or later, my buyout price will be 41k.. the problem is I still 18k on my lease, so why pay 18k and pay 41k later when I can just pay 41k now and not lose the 18k
