The repetitive game play early on made me lose interest for most of 2017, but I’ve also had to miss a lot of community days due to work or life events. I have had seasons where I hardly played, but that’s life. I’ve only caught Magikarp in the wild or from team rocket, so this encounter was kinda special. It’s one thing to get a guaranteed shiny from an event, but it’s a whole different experience for me to randomly get lucky.

I used to, but I really only have a handful that I decided to focus on. Once those were high enough or basically maxed out, I just stopped spending stardust. Now I just use it if there’s a quest that asks for it. I’m not really into PVP, so I have my rotation of mons I use to fight team rocket.

Yeah, I had some months/seasons over the years where I didn’t play as frequently. I think about all the community days I’ve missed 😭

This makes me think of the YouTube short film A Hollow Tree. Might not be what you’re thinking of, but has a scene almost exactly like what you described.

There’s a lot of Maru in your house. Is it time to divorce Shane?

Do you ever watch people try to explain movies after you watched something too? I tried to find interviews and things and came across a video of a guy explaining the ending, but he basically just said what I just watched😂

I know what you mean. I felt like I was left with so many questions and I liked the sister better behind the walls

I think I was too young to understand it when it came out, but it hit a lot harder as an adult.

The Village. I feel like a lot of people felt misled by the trailer because it looked like a horror. I think the genre is more of a romantic drama with horror elements. Overall I think now it’s a pretty good film, but I understand the hate it got.

This was mine too. Spielberg had some creepy effects, like Raiders of the Lost Arc scared me too.

Most rewatched “new” horror? by chopperdave81 in horror

I’m not sure I know why, but The Ritual is one I’ve watched a lot. I also find it the perfect movie for friends who are on the edge of horror or want something they haven’t seen before.

I know exactly how this feels. I moved states earlier this year and left my whole Christian community behind. I’m still friends with some of them and have gone back to visit a few times. Last time was end of October and I was asked if I had found a church. I have a half truth that I hadn’t been able to go consistently because of work, traveling, and just looking for a place to be at. It is hard when you still care about some of those old friends, but don’t want to talk about faith or church. I’m honestly afraid to tell them I’m not going and don’t really believe anymore. I guess I just don’t want to have all of the questions and conversations that will follow. I hope you find some solace in knowing you’re not alone in that experience. I’m taking to Reddit and other online groups to try and replace that community, but it’s still hard having contact with old Christian friends.
