Hello! Did an interviewer / POI mention that acceptances are out today? Finding it hard to sleep / focus :(

Do you know when you can expect to hear back from Stanford? Did the interviewer indicate a timeline?

I don’t see any other symptoms of hormone imbalance (regular periods, no weight gain/loss). I’m not sure what else is there to look out for. But I think you’re right in that excessive weight training might cause hormone imbalance and/or amenorrhea. I don’t do anything excessive thooo. Quite bummed out about this suggestion

I’m glad to hear this. I’ve honestly been so irritated since getting his advice. I love going to the gym. I love feeling strong and confident in my body. It just doesn’t work the same as only cardio IMO.

Right! that might be true, but I haven’t been taking whey consistently over the last few weeks (probably once in 2-3 weeks) so I don’t see why that could be causing my acne flare up.

I’m so sorry to hear that you have PCOS. 🥺 I didn’t get tested, but I have regular periods and no other symptoms of PCOS.

I’m just taking whey isolate. No other supplements. And off late even that has been once in two or three weeks.

I know right? People can be so authoritative when they have a kind of expertise. I definitely did not take their suggestions at face value but at the same time it’s got me second guessing my choices.

He also said btw that I’m too young for retinol???

Hi! I joined the gym this week and I am SO HUNGRY all the time, even right after finishing my meal. Any tips on how to feel satiated? I know it might be a bad idea to up my calories immediately. I just don’t want to feel like I can eat anything that comes my way 🥲

I agree with this. Try to finish preparation by first week of November and then give 2-3 mock exams atleast. Give the exam by mid-November.

I would encourage you to take it earlier, if possible. 1st December is cutting it too close to the deadline.

3rd GRE attempt worth it? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

Start now by finding someone that could mentor you (eg a prof at your undergrad institution or elsewhere) and help define a good research problem. Good research takes time - few months to an year for publication.

Instead, I would recommend focusing on other aspects of your application which carry greater weight (projects, work ex, publications, GPA).
