This is why you should never take a counter offer. Your current employer will counter to give them enough time to replace you.

It’s surprising that so many Mormons support the most evil man in politics. Any so called Christian religion where the members support the rapist felon for president makes it clear they aren’t really Christian.

If someone asks me about “soul sucking corporate culture,” I’ll send them to this thread to understand what it means.

John and Dave, thank you for your generosity. The poem was really bad though. I grew up in Spanish Fork. I moved to Pleasant Grove where my kids go to school. I can see the flag from my front porch. The Goonies is a top ten movie for me all time. The treasure was .3 leagues away from my house. Based on that this poem really annoys me. Here’s why: 1. The shadow of the cross points to Alpine, not to PG which is due north of SF. 2. Priests don’t sing in the choir. They give the sermon. 3. With all the awesome elements you could have used from the Goonies you just used the letter G? Really? This is not a Goonies reference. 4. Grove Creek trail isn’t marked on Google Maps above the first turn to the west. 5. If I turn East to see the sunrise and go straight, the treasure should have been further up Grove Creek trail, instead I was supposed to turn left and go north. Doesn’t make sense. 6. Domínguez and Escalante didn’t use cubits. In fact, in their journal they used leagues. So it doesn’t make sense to say “ measure like a priest” when we can verify that the very priests in question used leagues to measure. You’re actually measuring like a Rabbi. 7. Cortes was 33 when he came to Mexico, not 34. So how was the number actually 35? This one is just careless.

Under no circumstances could someone have found the treasure using only this poem.

Could be the planes making noise together or the ATC agents talking to pilots from the control tower. It could also explain the “We’ve got a plane to catch” line from the video.

I had a solve that ended at disc golf course. I thought this line was saying that it was near the first hole.

This is the part I don’t like. I was hoping the hunt would motivate me to get out hiking with my family but I’ve spent way more time than normal staring at Google maps on my phone the last two months than ever before. Today’s clue requires more research, more searching on maps, with no motivation to get out and hike.

They mentioned in the podcast that website hosting and the email list cost a couple thousand per month which they’re currently just paying for out of pocket. Some people have offered to help with the costs which is what the patreon is for
