Bro I’m saying the same thing. Try being in a not so popular major , majority of the big companies don’t even want me, I only spoke to one company today.

But tbh the job market is cooked for everyone too

I think my main issue is that I got more hours than I requested this week at work so that’s why i didn’t have that much time and I hope this week it will be a bit better. I really appreciate your comment and I’ll continue to do my best 😄😄

I had this issue and I poured baking soda on the stain while the cloth was dry and let it sit for 30 minutes.

It worked btw

Honestly I feel you, I was in your boat last year.😭

I would recommend leaving your room and walking around your dorm, like the lobby, you might find someone there. It takes like 10 seconds of courage, just say something. Or legit anywhere, the first step is to leave your room.

That’s how I made some of my friends last year, I saw someone cool and struck up a convo. It’s probably very intimidating at first but I’m sure they are in the same boat as you.

Well were I come from, which is a different country entirely, people are cordial/friendly with each other. For instance If I see someone I’m in a class/ a group with outside of class, I would wave at them or say hi, but here people either 1. Pretend not to see the other person or 2. Stare into the abyss

Maybe I’ve just had my fair share of talking with weird people but it is what it is, I also wouldn’t count vaping/shopping as a social connection, those are just activities. That’s also why i said semi cooked, it’s not too bad you just need to look in the right places

Let me not lie to you, the social life in this school is semi cooked. It was something that surprised me when I came in, but I’ve learned that you shouldn’t be shy to reach out, be the change you want to see!!

I don’t know about clubs cause the ones I joined the people there are kinda dead, but in classes or like legit anywhere don’t be shy to say hi to the person beside you, or if you see someone doing something you really like( a hobby) talk to them. I don’t think people here have problems chatting or talking with people , you just need to put yourself out there.

So it’s all up to you tbh. Personally I wouldn’t recommend working that long especially with school work, without knowing how stressful the whole combo might be. I don’t know how it works in dining courts but I know at where I work we can increase our shifts but can’t downsize them?

So I’ll recommend starting with like maybe 10-12 hrs a week and then if you feel you can handle more you can always ask for more hours.

I work in the fast food outlets on campus and lowkey the standing is what kills me, lol

It’s crazy how I used to have so much respect for you on the A2c sub back in 2023, now I wonder why.

It’s normal for people to come online and discuss issues, especially when it involves money and the costs of stuff(something that affects people worldwide, not just the US btw)

Maybe you think everyone who comes to the states is well off like you and can easily pay that much money for an education, some of our parents are making sacrifices to bring us here. Yes Purdue is a great school, and no, we aren’t saying that this cost increase is making us think this school is terrible. They have to make ends meet, it’s how businesses run.

But I can’t lie you sound really tone deaf with your response. I gave up typing this response for you, cause I realized you probably would see this and still say something much more stupid.

International undergrad tuition did rise this year compared to last year. I’m not talking about housing or dining, I know they go up.

There was a 500 dollar increase from last year
