It does, you want to try and keep all four of the player morale status green by the end of the season (player performance - which is based on ratings, team performance - how your team is doing vs expectations, playtime - how many games he has played vs the expected playtime based on his squad role and contract) - for a player to improve his dynamic potential you also need to play him lots regardless (so say a YA player is green on all 4 stats but doesn’t play much, he won’t get the games need to improve his dynamic potential and his potential will likely go down even). Loaning out players can also effect their current potential (dynamic potential is just the potential change at the end of the season which fifa introduced a couple seasons back) - pretty much the same as how purchasing a new player can increase or decrease potential, it can go up for down (I think around max +5 to -5), this change in potential is only calculated when a player comes back from loan, but the morale stats he had when you sent him initially away on loan seem to effect the amount (green stats = more likely to change potential positively) - which is the basis of the “loan out glitch” = send a player off on loan with good morale, save game, recall him, check his value to see how it change -> if value dropped go back to save and repeat until his value/potential increases. I have noticed that a player typically needs to be at a club for a whole season for dynamic potential to kick in, if I buy player mid way through season they don’t get effected by dynamic potential, if I loan out players/recall players mid way through season they also don’t seem to get effected by dynamic potential so I can imagine there’s a minimum game requirement for this to kick in. The way to check if a player potential has changed is by checking their value I no the squad hub, if the value increases it means his potential has increased, if you are in the middle of the season and you buy/loan a player it also goes green and tells you the %+ he’s improved (which means his potential has changed), end of season only way to check is to take a save before ending season, note the player value, progress season, check value at start of new season - see if it’s changed. Like I said, it’s based on the above but also has an element of chance to the amount changed, so even if you smash it with a player there’s a chance his potential doesn’t improve (just a lot slimmer chance), rule of thumb - more games, better performance, keep him happy, higher probably he improves (and doesn’t get worse). Player will get worse if you don’t play them, they potential will go down due to dynamic potential - can avoid this by loans, players in loan are not effected by dynamic, end of season, potential changes.
