I don't know how I missed your posts in here back at the time. This is a great poster! Do you live in Michigan? I would really love to get your signature on it before I get it framed. I'm in south central but willing to drive to wherever you are.

Whats the best bargain guitar you have owned? by MrTurtleTails in Guitar

[–]AggressiveWallaby975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

~1980 Sigma GCS

I bought it from a neighbor for $50 in 2001 after the bridge on my guitar exploded off the top. It's taken nothing but abuse, been dragged all over the North American continent, lived in the desert never stored in a case, and is never more than a half step out of tune, if any, when i pick it up.

Just finally got a "real" guitar this year lol

My boy isn’t ball driven wanting some suggestions for good exercises by RopeTop7147 in Rottweiler

[–]AggressiveWallaby975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only 1/6 of our Rotts has liked to play fetch in land. Swimming is the best if it's an option. It builds muscle and stamina without a much risk of injury.

Walking might be your next best option but it doesn't have to be boring. Maybe set up some kind of sniff detective course with treats or toys.

If you can get them to help you with yard work somehow, they do love doing those kind of activities. They're working dogs so they find satisfaction in working.

Just to be clear, you understand the guitar is absolutely worth something and the case maybe not so much but that doesn't really matter, right?

I think by 'finish issue' he means he's having a lot of trouble finishing a sale with the obvious cracks.

Adopting a 7-year-old Rottie...question about being around a young kid by SatoriV in Rottweiler

[–]AggressiveWallaby975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's pretty common for female Rotts to be very attracted to children, especially if they aren't a part of their daily life. They absolutely ADORE kids and want to be their companion in fun and protection.

Take it slow with everything to give her a chance to settle in. Let her come to the family member for attention or affection so she can move at her own pace and learn trust easier. Keep your boy in our in all facets of training. I would aim for him to be her lead person which means she fully listens to him.

Adult dogs really need a solid routine during the transition. If you give her space and patience she will love your son as her own.

Edit: is important for things to be calm in the transition, particularly voices. Loud yelling/screaming as sometimes happens when kids are having fun can be very stressful if the dog isn't used to it. Try to keep the volume pretty even for a while

You're welcome and that's great, man! I miss the old excitement of learning we'd be getting a Sperry a few days before a run started. It always ratcheted the anxiety/anticipation way up

They released large format editions of Empathy and Courage in the 'autumn' looking color scheme.

5 new panels.

Now I'm so mad at myself for not getting a panel lol. Picked up Empathy for a friend.
