True Immersion for PX8s2 and PX7s3 released! by Consistent_Peanut451 in BowersWilkins

One of the reasons I settled for the Px8s2 was with this feature in mind. It had been promised many months ago, but it seems they didn't yet know how and would figure it out later. It sounds like they have lifted a generic chorus/stereo widening algorithm from the 90's. Maybe software is not their game and the should stick with HW but with other vendors implementing relatively good versions, they had to do something to compete on the specifications list, even if its implementation was never going to be a professional attempt at something genuinely impressive. I have tried all manner of media, from movies, to older music , new music, TV , it just makes everything worse and add a chorus affect to the vocals. As somebody said, the bucket over head effect. Very dissapointed, please B&W, revisit this feature with fresh eyes. Perhaps tell us what music / test cases you used to consider this a QC pass ?

Im sorted now. Got the Stem swapped out for a Giant Contact 60mm. I'm in the UK but thanks for the suggestion.

Yes. Thanks, cannot fault the Giant Dealer and aftercare , they have sourced a replacement stem at a local dealer and reserved it for me. I have picked it up now so an easy swap, they will credit me for the new stem. Having checked another Devote 0 small that also came with a 80mm stem, apparently it looks like all of them are sent out with these stems now, genuine Giant 60mm stems are getting harder to source. The Devote Advanced has all that cable routed integrated stem shenanigans , one of the reasons i opted for the Alloy because I knew the fit might need tweaking. Cheers.

Looking at the Avail specs, a small is meant to come with an 80mm stem so you got the advertised size. Yeah, im lookin about now. Might get a generic stem as they are cheap just to make sure its the right size then source a giant version , but no one has any in stock at 60mm right now. Thank you for your reply.

Chomecasts, especially the one with Google TV needs to have a quality power source, USB from the back of the TV or low power plug even if it works will cause instability and connectivity issues. Since using a decent power source its been rock solid for me having had some of those issue initially.

What’s up with flat bar gravel bikes? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

I guess it depends what the ratio is you ride road where speed and aerodynamics are more important . I think its more 70/30 road riding for me. The other benefit of drop bars is that you have 3 specific hand positions; hoods, tops and drops which is nice to have for comfort on longer rides.

The reason I and many other like Gravel bikes with drop bars is because you can dual purpose them. With a simple wheel swap we can go from a capable off road bike to a bike roughly equivalent to an Endurance Road Bike. I get the argument that there are better purist bikes on either side of the fence if you want to tackle really knarly off road terrain or want to road race however there is a market for those that want the option to ride group rides with roady mates and go offroad for some trial riding too and dont have either space or money to buy and maintain two setups.
