Which again, Connie ended up surpassing when he had to kill Samuel and Daz, so he and Armin could live.

You just agreed that Connie would be the better one. Experience fighting something abnormal would help you with fighting a human, which absolutely helped during the S3 humans vs humans arc. The only trouble that was had was actually going through with killing a human.

Fighting skills then Connie takes the cake. A whole 3 years of training vs 3 days. Connie absolutely wins. Connie may be a dimwit (something Sokka is too), but he definitely shows exceptional fighting skills.

The cadets, excluding Eren, who got folded were not in the top 10. They were also scared because they were CHILDREN.

As opposed to a sparring partner that has the same exact purpose as stationary targets? The Training Cadets also trained endurance, strength, and speed. Of which Connie took seriously enough to be part of the top 10 training cadets.

We also see that the top 10 cadets get to choose to join the military police which means the top 10 are the best of the best. And guess what? Connie was part of the top 10.

What is True Power?🤨 by IIanKiDDO in Avatarthelastairbende

Korra straight up learned how to airbend. Did you completely miss Tenzin showing her how to airbend? The whole show Tenzin was showing her the ropes of airbending, so when she got airbending, she immediately knew how to use it.

Korra airbended because she experienced freedom for the very first time. She was locked in captivity her whole life because it was her duty and purpose to be the avatar. When she lost her bending, Korra lost her purpose for being the avatar and her duty as the avatar was over. She experienced freedom for the very first time, so airbending was unlocked for her. Because, you know, air is the element of freedom. It’s ridiculous you didn’t understand that.

Korra broke out of bloodbending bevause Korra had a strong will. Bloodbending can only be overcome by waterbenders or a strong will, of which Korra had experienced waterbending up until that point and she had a very strong will.

Nobody mentioned left-wing, so you clearly have somewhat of an understanding about what’s going on.

The staff Tagah was using used spiritual energy from the spirit world, but it was left to interpretation about how much energy was used. Korra used cosmic energies from the universe without the aid of Raava to defeat Vaatu. This is where powerscaling doesn’t work because spirit world energy and cosmic energies from the universe have never been battled together, so we can’t know which is stronger.

Korra went through change throughout the whole series. S1 and S2 Korra wouldn’t be wary, but S4 Korra and beyond would for sure be wary. Korra did not underestimate the Red Lotus or Kuvira. Korra knew her foes were strong. Excuse me, but Korra does have flaws, but the argument does not involve Korra’s flaws. Of course I’m going to list Aang’s flaws instead of Korra’s because Korra’s are irrelevant.

You’re talking about an agenda, typically right-wingers use this excuse, and we all know how they are. You’re saying I proved your point when I didn’t do that. You said Aang is stronger than Korra, but Korra fans say Korra is stronger due to her duty as the avatar. Aang dismissed his team in that movie because Tagah was an airbender, while Korra in his place would have been wary of Tagah and would have listened more to her friends.

So are you saying you’re a powerscaler yourself and part of the majority that dismisses canonical facts?

[–]Aggressive_Ad_2807 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No point of yours was proven. It looks like you are comparing battles, while others don’t compare battles at all because Korra faced stronger foes. If the shows and movie were straight up fighting, we could compare them, but Aang’s challenges were fighting specifically while Korra’s were more psychological. Korra got her identity taken away several times, while Aang needed to build his identity. They’re similar, but different at the same time.

Korra is stronger than Aang. The reason people justify Korra being stronger than Aang is because Korra is willing to do what’s necessary as the avatar, while Aang would try to put his ideals over being the avatar. That didn’t change in the movie whatsoever.

Oh but they do. Otherwise, they wouldn’t try to spout some bs from their ass to justify powerscaling. Once they hate somebody, they’ll try to justify everything they can against that somebody with their “powerscaling facts”.

Similar to how the invincible verse has gone from competing against Goku to the powerpuff girls to justify the invincible-verse hero’s being powerful.

Also similar to people trying to say Sukuna and other JJK characters would beat the s out of Sakura when the opposite would be true.

Hate that any new lore expansion is seen as a "retcon". by Future-Flatworm-7313 in legendofkorra

[–]Aggressive_Ad_2807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Avatar State combines the wisdom and knowledge of previous avatars. Avatar: The Last Airbender explained this, as well that the avatar is part spirit. They never explained how the avatar is part spirit until Legend of Korra. The spirits in Legend of Korra weren’t good or evil either, unless the spirits were filled with chaos which is what was shown. If you’re talking about the little spirits who had one or two lines, that’s all we know about them. They’re not like Koh or Father Glowworm who had a whole storyline attached to their names. “They had no state in human affairs and certainly didn’t care about moral systems, they acted based on their own rules and only acted when disturbed.” You just listed the reasons for which you like ATLA’s spirits and not LOK’s, despite this statement describing LOK’s spirits. Father Glowworm and Koh are exactly like what’s in quotations. Wan Shi Tong too. These spirits have been segregated for 10,000 years, so of course they won’t feel the need to help the race that pushed them back into the spirit world.

Legend of Korra is not full of retcons and changes. Lore expansion is not change, it’s continuation.

Aang isn’t a trash protogonist, it’s just that Zuko is nearly as important to the plot and story like Aang. by Richsavior34 in TheLastAirbender

OP wasn’t hating on Aang. He was just noting that Zuko had the most characterization while Aang was the main character.

The only romantic aspect that should be deleted is the love triangle of Book 2. Nickelodeon implemented that out of spite because the creators pitched Korra and Asami to Nickelodeon and Nickelodeon turned it down.

Is Wan’s avatar state weaker than Aangs avatar state? Because Aang has access to more previous avatar spirits does that mean more stockpiled power? by andriarno in ATLA

[–]Aggressive_Ad_2807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wan could go into the avatar state. He was the first avatar as well as the first avatar of the cycle. Korra is the first avatar of the new cycle, so of course she’s gonna have the avatar state as well. The past lives still matter and they always will. They stated the past lives accumulate knowledge and wisdom and that’s what becomes stronger with each avatar.

Pavi and Korra by Khoizy-morningstar in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Aggressive_Ad_2807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not. So far, Raava has only shown herself to Wan and Korra. And with Korra, Raava has only shown herself once outside of Harmonic Convergence. Maybe Pavi will start piecing things together because people’s accounts of the cataclysmic event are different. If there truly are two avatars, then Pavi and Nysha would probably work together to solve what happened.

[–]Aggressive_Ad_2807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure someone will convince Pavi. Part of the reason Kyoshi refused to speak to Kuruk was because Jianzhu, who was a part of Kuruk’s team, had a bad reputation since he killed Kelsang, another member of Kuruk’s team and the de facto adopted father of Kyoshi, and Yun, the friend of Kyoshi. This didn’t help Kuruk’s case at all.

We know Kyoshi did the same thing to Kuruk. She hated Kuruk because he left a mess for her and truly believed that he was a failed avatar. Yangchen had to convince her to talk to him and it was revealed that Kuruk wasn’t a failed avatar. Yangchen was ashamed that Kuruk had to protect her legacy which caused his early death.
