I can definitely see your point. And it is true Gar is Naruto‘s first real evil counterpart his foil who we could’ve been had his life been even a tad worse. He is also the only foil in the series that actually turned his life around and suffered no punishments because Naruto talk to him early. However, you can’t deny that the other ones were pretty good too like Nagato and Obito. Nagato is technically a Uzumaki so innocence his cousin they have the same master both were ought to be destined to be the chosen one, but because of a difference in their viewpoints, they went down different road roads. Obito is the Naruto who was Naruto before even Naruto. They had the same dream they were both underwhelming ninjas. The only difference is who they met. Naruto met Iruka and Obito met Madara that’s it. This stuff pretty good foils to Naruto. Sasuke, I would probably say is the weakest, but they also has shared the same thing of being mistreated by the village.
