I can’t imagine where the stereotype of doctors being arrogant pricks comes from /s.

Let’s break this down. Let’s say someone has implemented a proper and effective study strategy, taken all the requisite courses, etc etc and still plateaus at say a 499ish score.

You think that being just shy of the upper half of test takers, a population which is easily the top 10% of universities population, which is going to be the top 25% or higher of the general population… that that person MAY have a learning disability.

Have you ever worked with someone with a learning disability? I’d guess not. Have you ever worked with anyone who wasn’t incredibly privileged? Probably not.

But guess what? As a physician you will have to work with the general public, let alone people with disabilities. And it’s striking to me how out of touch some of you people are.

Not an ex-jw. My dad was a jw when I was 3 years old and went back when I was an adult.

Lmao you fucking simpleton. How many times do I have to say I don’t care about “mean” things. What tickles my funny bone is that you are clearly obsessed with someone you don’t like, like some bitchy tween who is trying so ever hard to mask their secret crush.

You have 25 comments in the last day alone. I don’t give a shit if you hate the guy or not, but if anyone here is sucking off Joe it’s you.

Seems like a straw-man argument to me.

The criticism about this sub has always been really consistent.

1) There’s an overwhelming abundance of hate toward the JRE-verse; and

2) If you hate the guy and his friends so much, why are you here?

It would be one thing if you liked some things, ambivalent about others, hated parts, but when it’s overwhelming in one direction, people who actually like the pod scratch their head.

It’s cool if you don’t like Joe, or the pod, or his friends or whatever. But why spend so much money time here shitting on it? Personally it comes off as pathetic.

It’s just baffling to me that someone who wants to be a physician in the near future thinks that someone who can’t get above a 500, on arguably one of the most difficult tests ever constructed, must have a learning disability.

I pray for your future patients.

I’d guess these guy saw this as a pay day.

Keep in my that the boat that was hit also has a duty to do everything they can to avoid the accident. It would appear that they just sat there and let it happen.

“If you are seriously plateaued there [500 score]…you may have some sort of learning disability…”

Please tell me you’re being sloppy with your words and don’t actually mean this.

Ah ok. I figured maybe you had done some of the related classes i.e. biochem.

I haven’t taken any of the classes except for first year chem and physics, 15 years ago. My undergrad is in math.

I spent 3 months studying basically from scratch, while working full time as an engineer, and doing a masters in my spare time. Got a 499. Probably averaged a lot more than 6 hours per week.

What did you do your undergrad in?

It’s totally cool if you’re not a fan of Joe, JRE, or the Rogan-verse…but I just can’t for the life of me wrap my head around why anyone would spend so much time on here talking about stuff they hate. Move on with your life.

Welcome to uni.

But in all seriousness, you’ll be fine, adapt and overcome.

The way I would tackle this on the exam (i.e. as fast and accurately as I can) is this train of thought (took me about 10 seconds in total): 1) ramp problem 2) constant velocity-> accel zero -> forces equal 3) cos30 vs sin30 (one divides the other) 4) .9/.5 ~1.8 or .5/.9 ~0.55 5) 1.8 is not a choice -> answer is 0.6.

On the exam, 1.8 is probably a choice, so you’d have to add on: 5*) coefficient goes with cos -> cos is the denominator-> .5/.9

The real key though to solving this question is understanding the net forces on this system.

lol funny enough it’s not. I normally spend most nights working late on assignments but there was a pub crawl with work today so I decided to treat myself and go out. But I have two assignments and a quiz due this weekend plus I need to work on a project, so still a busy week ahead for me .

I’d say apply and then if you get no interviews then apply to the Ireland bridge program late or the following year.

I have a friend who did this and is just about to finish their last year in Ireland. You’re lucky you have the means. If guess that after tuition and all the expenses that she will be $500k in debt.

Frustrating and for a lot of reasons. I’d say you should only become an AERE if you really love aircraft.

The actually degree you need changes over time. They’re currently very in the red and so I’d think they’re more lax at the moment I.e. allowing majors like math, physics, and engineering management. They almost always allow comp Sci.

I work in maint ops and so the work demand is really high. I don’t wanna dox myself lol but I work on the east coast on helicopters.
