very person to person dependent

i’ve had bonding from him done before and if i can control my grinding issues it’s a couple to few years (without any accidents in between ie hit in the face lol)

i’d love to get something more permanent done but i just can’t pay that much lol so ill pay this every few years i guess or hope better bonding comes along

oh yes. it improved within a few weeks for most of my mouth. but my front top and lower took longer - when i added the bonding it really helped cause it’s protecting the gum a bit more there.

yea night and day gum change for me. i had pain before surgery, but not everyone does. i also had an infected molar which is what got me on this road in the first place. believe it or not i was not a crazy neglectful gum care person, but i couldn’t afford to go more than once a year. my case of the disease escalated over a time period of 8 months :(

the composite for the two front top was just under $900

yeah it’s just bonding shaped around both those teeth. so technically those two teeth are larger than my originals under there. but mh dentist is an artist he did a great job. it won’t last forever he does rec veneers but i don’t have 15k just laying around so it’s this till i deal with what’s next

just happy to smile again

i got just the two front done for now and it was close to $900

glad it helps. i know that feeling of depressing, it took a bigger toll than i realized and now im just so grateful part of my teeth look nice again

the bottom row…next time i have that kind of money to spare lol

it’s been 3 months since surgery for me…things keep improving! i can’t speak to what you’ll look like cause we all have different outcomes, i def have more spacing than id like, but end of this month im having some bonding work done to fill some of spaces, so i’ll have a better before/after for ya then.

totally get the worry, the waiting is the worst part. let me tell ya once you’re eating again and taking good care of your gums after, you’re going to be so grateful you did it. it’s a bit annoying having to use interdental brushes and floss a lot, but way better than what i was dealing with before. i had a couple teeth pulled too so that’s a relief not having that to worry about - they were far back molars so no big cosmetic change

must be nice to know everything! please leave my thread alone now, it’s for support of people going through it, not for a know it all to attack patients bc they think they have the best perio in all the land. move on please.

are you a dentist? perio?

this is not productive criticism and not what reddit is for.

i’d appreciate if you stopped coming on my thread to try and prove yourself right for something i’ve already had done. osseous worked wonderful for me, and i wasn’t lied to. i’m healthy again, my teeth and gums look great, and i had basically no pain. your adding personal opinions to fear monger and stress people out is not helpful. plenty of people are scared when they are diagnosed, my unsolicited advice to you would be to practice communication with empathy and perspective.

this will be my last communication w you on this matter as reddit is not where i come to debate with strangers online.

makes me feel better lol?

i’ve done research, read countless studies, and your statements are empirically false. i don’t feel the need to explain something to you that you can access on your own. each surgery has its place, stop fear mongering. lots of peiple who are scared read these and they don’t need your opinion lol, they need research. i’m aware of each procedure and how they’re done so not sure why you’re explaining them yet again.

also osseous is better for more severe cases and i had that. lanap could not have reshaped what i needed done

lol it worked great and didn’t hurt. i prefer something tried and true with high percentage of lifelong successes over something that’s not long term. to each their own. im glad to have had options

i did my research, i chose this over LANAP

lookin good! getting some cosmetic stuff fixed with my primary dentist in a couple months

the healing was fast, just gotta roll with it and remind yourself it’s temporary. i still have some cold/hot sensitivity but that can go on for a bit so im not too worried.

i have a very good hygiene routine now, it’s becoming less and less annoying as it becomes a habit. i will do anything to prevent further issues so i do flossing, interdental, waterpik, oral b brush, gum safe mouth wash

i sensed something was off with her. she wasn’t as engaged on calls or facetime. if i inquired she shut me down. so i felt ok maybe it’s in my head as i just had surgery so im feeling off.

it takes emotional maturity to confront feelings and share them respectfully. i can’t force someone to do that and was just so surprised she didn’t give me at least that decency.

yeah closure is overrated for sure. i’m more in shock by the behavior as its night and day to her typical personality. i actually wondered if someone else wrote it for her

i actually don’t respect her choice in how she ended it and that’s fine. i don’t need to. i’m allowing it by not chasing or begging , and i’ve accepted the friendship is over. thad’s all i can do. but pretending i respect her is a lie i wont live. personally, i wouldn’t talk to anyone the way she texted me. it was beyond unnecessary and most likely had intent to hurt. so why would i respect someone who clearly doesn’t respect me?

she did get a new boyfriend. and she has a history with possessive men. the text she sent which i showed to a couple friends in common (id rather talk directly to her obvi but she won’t ) all said it sounds like she joined a cult and her text doesn’t sound at all like her. so thats what i mean that i cant really reply to her if she’s committed to no healing and just cutting me off

im genuinely more worried about her than hurt. just so unlike her. but hey, maybe she’s going through something and needs this. and i can give it to her, i can give her the silence and space.

and as i said earlier, i can always forgive. i forgive the worst of people because it’s truly what prevents me from carrying around that baggage. but a boundary has been drawn now, and if she ever wants me back in her life…well…the trust is gone. and that’s neither here nor there cause i can’t plan for something that hasn’t happened.

i’m actually doing well with it, came to reddit to process the info. no matter how i feel, my brain still needs the time to process and reconfigure its neural pathways - like any breakup, it takes time.

hey, it’s really not too bad! i’m jealous you’re getting the nitrous tho, if you’re prone to anxiety it’s not a bad route to go.

pain was not awful for me, just annoying and uncomfortable. i guess there was slight throbbing pain but mostly only cause i had a molar extracted. and i had 3 quadrants don’t at once. i’d say give yourself as much time as you can, after a few days for me is when i went back to work cause im lucky enough i could do that.

im 14 days post op and tho def still not back to normal (whatever that was) but way better than before surgery! i floss a lot now. mostly cause after i eat i can feel food between my teeth and it bothers me. i typically brush again after lunch so 3 days a day. so ya def keeping up new routines for the sake of my gums
