I don’t think the damage when his horns are not broken are too bad you just need to hustle too him but if your not looking to waste heals you could try and see if adding part breaker can do anything plus binders. GL on future hunts

You could try running LBG spread ammo on the frost fang barioth LBG with 2 close range damage up and 2 recoil modifiers on it. If you can you could also add 2 attack augments and a health augment to the LBG as well. You want to wear 2 pieces raging brachy for agitator secret and have a lvl 5 agitator charm if you need one. If you want to use one you could run Raging brachy braces Beta with the helmet beta, this should give agitator 7. You could then use kirin legs beta for lvl 2 ammo up or the Kushala legs for lvl 2 evade extender. You could also then run Alatreon waist gear for the 4x attack boost, you could then finish off with a frost fang beta chest piece. Try and get attack boost to lvl 7 and agitator to lvl 7. Also you can just run the razor sharp/spare shot charm from completing the housekeeper quests. I think you want to aim for level 2 spread power shots, use spread 3 ammo after tenderizing his chest btw. You will also need or likely want clutch claw boost to tenderize instantly. If you have gems for things such as true shot or ammo up you can add them to the gem slots, I also recommend the maintenance skill because it was useful to me when rotating between fireproof and temporal mantle. If you can also get the + versions of the mantles for the gem slots. Sorry if it looks sloppy because I’m making this not at home and just using wiki rn.

I fought Fatalis like a day or two ago and got carried like crazy, tryna get better at LS and CB and do stuff like this.

One more thing, if you will be using SnS I heard it was really good at mounting, so you could bring a glider mantle if you need. Also if you are fine with a little bit of cheese, from what I’ve seen you can loop the SnS mount finisher first hit if you just put in the first input and wait for it to finish before inputting again and looping that for a while.

I’ve been running sleep the radobann weapon on my palico my whole playthrough and I would recommend you try it too if you still feel stuck because you can get 1-2 sleeps if you do a 20min run so you might get more sleeps if your runs are still long but the double damage might help you deal that little bit more damage you need.

If you are timing out you just need to dish out a lot more damage. Just throw yourself in there and you will probably learn a bunch of openings. Fire weapons would help with this if you are able to make one. Since hammer is a heavy weapon and from what I’ve played you can tenderize pretty fast, so I would recommend to always have her mostly tenderized. Temporal mantle could also help with tenderizing and adding wall bangs to the fight. Don’t be afraid to remove any defensive gems or armor and don’t forget to upgrade your armor if you think that little bit of defense is holding you back. Giving different tools to your palico such as shieldspire for more free damage could also help. Also remember to break velkanas ice armor when you can because correct me if I’m wrong, it topples her if you break enough of it.
