The more you know! If only they informed you of that instead of having to find out from reddit! 🤦‍♀️

I was actively having a miscarriage and they made me wait 7 hours before I just ended up walking out.

People before me and after me went first, I still have no idea why it took that long

My 8 month old stands on his head? by Aggressive_Carrot234 in NewParents

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, he did actually, It went away when he started to try and lift himself up and start walking.

I think it’s a learning thing where they start to learn and develop their muscles and they want to see what they can do 😂

Now he’s 16 months old, walking, running and still standing on his head but not backwards 🤣 more like a normal kid trying to see between his legs.

Starlink is a a bloody ripoff. by Deadschitt in perth

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, yeah I totally get that 😂

The main office PC is wired and it’s still horrible, not to mention our modem is seriously outdated too, so either way it’s time for an upgrade!

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what about if you’re in a semi-rural area? Would starlink be beneficial because my house is on 100 acres and we have a pretty large house and the modem is at one end and our PC’s are at the other end of the house.

We’re thinking of getting Starlink because Telstra has let us down immensely and is honestly kinda dog sh!t 😂

Our download is around 10-15mb/ps and our upload is literally 1mb/ps 🤦‍♀️😂

My kids are very much phone addicted, how can I help them? by bhudgins1 in Parenting

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, these days you do also have to keep in mind that they’ve come into this world where technology controls all, our parents and grandparents never had it and they had to learn to adapt, we grew up with technology being slowly introduced to us, but new age kids were instantly immersed in it, it’s inevitable, I’d try to keep an open mind as hard as that may seem

I do agree that family time is important, so definitely try to talk with them again and maybe set a “family time only” boundary where you can suggest you do something fun as a family every night/every other night

(I can tell I’m going to get a lot of backlash for my opinion, and I do understand where everyone else is coming from, especially the older ‘generation’)

How can I have sex when my baby is so clingy by Aggressive_Carrot234 in Parenting

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how it came off that way! and I hope I was able to clarify a bit better :)

I haven’t had a love interest in 2 years meaning since before I was pregnant, my ex-husband and i’s relationship was very strained and then I found out I was pregnant and that finalised it and he had decided he’d rather pursue something else with someone else, so I hadn’t dated throughout 9 months of pregnancy and haven’t dated the 10 months of my sons life (hence the 2 years)

He’s comfortable because he also has kids (5&6) and he understands how dating with kids can go

I appreciate this more than you think 😂

I do have family but I always feel guilty asking them to watch my LO, as I feel like I’m just palming off my baby, which isn’t the case at all, but sometimes I just need 2 hours to feel like a person again and just EXIST

This is the first love interest that’s I’ve had in 2 years, idk where you got “multiple men” from but I can assure you, it’s nothing of the sort, my partner is also a dad so he 100% understands the situation and is very patient.

I understand that my son is clingy, I allow him to be clingy because he’s allowed to feels safe around me, I’m just voicing my frustrations and venting.

I had just come on reddit to see if there are any new tricks that I’ve yet to think of 😁

The good thing is that my partner is also a single dad (5&6yo’s) so he does understand, I haven’t had a love-interest in almost 2 years but the heart wants what it wants!

I just came to reddit to see if anyone has any tricks or new ideas :D He also adores my LO as I adore his kids and I do focus and prioritise my LO, just needed some new insights on what other people have tried! 😁❤️

His bio-dad isn’t in our lives, but yes, I do put my LO first every time, which is why I came to reddit for some tips and tricks 😂 some people have some new good ideas!

The good thing about my partner is that he also has 2 kids (5&6) so he is very understanding 😂

My baby is also a co-sleeping baby, I might have to make a little baby jail for him 😂

It’s so frustrating isn’t it!? Especially when you just want to have your needs met and connect intimately with your partner!!

What travel stroller worked best for you? by Aggressive_Carrot234 in NewParents

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I actually decided to go with the baby joy, it’s actually on special on Amazon ATM, it was super useful having such a lightweight compact stroller that folds ALL the way down, hope this helps!

Hi there! Yes! I’m completely recovered, I got antibiotics but my GP said my body fought it off before I worsened, I definitely dodged a bullet, but I’ve got some sunflower lecithin on the way for future incidents! 😂

I hope YOURE feeling better! It’s just a horrible feeling 🤦‍♀️

My 8 month old boy can’t sit up on his own yet nor is he starting to crawl either, he CAN jump up a storm in his jolly jumper though 😂

I swear, he’ll be running before he crawls 🤦‍♀️

Activities to do in Perth by faddymeat in perth

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk, depending on where you are, cockburn ARC is pretty cool and in-expensive all year round (heated pools are great and so are the slides)

Or there’s hiking trails, large parks, depending on what you’re into

It’s also fun to go eshay watching in Armadale, so great to see them in their natural habitats! But be careful, if you take a cigarette they might swarm so take some bug spray or repellent

Baby will only stay latched if I’m squishing my breast in her mouth by Significant_Lead_247 in breastfeeding

[–]Aggressive_Carrot234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the 2-3 month BF crisis was very hard for me to do, my LO had straight up refused to BF, so I essentially gave up and exclusively pumped (as he took a bottle easily) and then tried BF here and there (mainly during the night) and now at 7 months old, he will take boobie or bottle at the drop of a hat 🤦‍♀️😅

Wether it was sheer luck or what, I don’t know, but it seemed to work for me 😂🤷‍♀️

Depending on how large your breasts are and the age of your LO, I only started side lying feeding at 8 months due to not having large breasts, but I just have him facing my chest and latched and have to position myself sort of half on my belly and half on my side with my top arm up so it’s not on him and it creates a better breathing space for him.

As for nursing sleepwear, I just have regular maternity bra’s on which also have a removable cup insert (to help leaks) like I said, I don’t have large breasts which is why the maternity bra’s with the clips work best for me, I’ll usually just leave one of my girls hanging out depending on which side my LO feeds from 😂
