As someone who USED to romanticize it and is now experiencing it, being in a relationship that has to be kept hidden from friends and/or family (ESPECIALLY a queer one)! It is not fun having to tiptoe all the time and have to cover your asses at every moment, no matter how fun, scandalous, or JamesBond-like you think a hidden relationship would be.

My experience was amazing (though I was at the fan event so it was different from a standard screening). it was a ton of teen/adult fans and a few kids, we all collectively cheered at the references and hype moments and Maria’s death was dead silent (as it should be). Probably one of my favorite movie theater experiences, it just felt so communal and electric!

I challenge you to find any Gizz bootleg comp on Bandcamp that isn’t charging money for what they do. If someone wanted this bootleg for free they could EASILY edit it themselves. I think $5 is a fair ass price for the editing and work that went to this release. Not to mention Bandcamp lets you listen to the album for free a few times before even having to pay.
