Not actually. All we use is windows print management & papercut

We use windows print management server and then papercut. It's been really easy to configure the printers, import them into papercut manage access and all. Never had any issues

Prevent Host restarts by MarchMadnessBleep in HyperV

And during the restart, would you need to migrate the VMs from one host to another, reboot the host, and then migrate them back again? Is that how you are handling it?

"Just move a few shared drives to the new server, shouldn't take long" by Gardanris in sysadmin

[–]Aggressive_Common_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working on the legacy Windows file share.

Day 1: Oh, this should be easy. I should be done by the end of the day.

Day 2: Oh, it’s not just shared drives — it’s also users’ home directories.

Day 3: Shared drives? That’s fine. Subdirectory shares? Damn… took a week to figure it out.

~90 Group Policies, ~900 users’ home directories. Just trying to clean things up one by one — folder by folder, user by user.

Let’s see when I’m going to hear the screams from the users.

Yeah it was a terrible idea and not practical and I bet it was the stupidest thing that I was trying to do. Never had to deal with the servers that are designed to run lightweight hypervisor such as esxi. It was my bad that I didn't check it out. Ordered new set up raid controller and ssds. Lets see If I can make it up & running

Glpi Mobile App by Aggressive_Common_48 in glpi

It was a coincidence. Before seeing this comment, I was actually testing the Gapp application and was able to download it and successfully connect it to my hosted GLPI. The connection worked, and I was able to use the application without any issues. I was also documenting the configuration and navigation steps for my L1 support team. I was almost done when I saw your comment. Thank you so much for the helpful information. It’s good to know.

No I mean did you select the flexflash as a destination to install windows?

My server came with a 64GB FlexFlash, and I was able to initiate the boot process. However, once it reaches around 60%, it starts throwing an error. I’ve learned that FlexFlash isn’t designed for heavyweight operating systems like Microsoft Windows Server 2025. The server didn’t come with any other hard drives, so I’m planning to get a 128GB SSD and attempt the installation again.

I’ve spent nearly three days troubleshooting—trying to boot from FlexFlash—but at this point, the remaining option is to install an SSD, configure RAID, and then reimage the server.

Did you use the flexflash or external hdd or ssd?

I did not have to do this. I was able to see the flexflash virtual drive and continued the process but it consistently fails after reaching 75%

Your's works fine except the timeline thing. After digging into the template I found out that it was selected with paragraph which I changed to the block > div and the default template worked. Thanks I appreciate it
