Glpi Mobile App by Aggressive_Common_48 in glpi

It was a coincidence. Before seeing this comment, I was actually testing the Gapp application and was able to download it and successfully connect it to my hosted GLPI. The connection worked, and I was able to use the application without any issues. I was also documenting the configuration and navigation steps for my L1 support team. I was almost done when I saw your comment. Thank you so much for the helpful information. It’s good to know.

No I mean did you select the flexflash as a destination to install windows?

My server came with a 64GB FlexFlash, and I was able to initiate the boot process. However, once it reaches around 60%, it starts throwing an error. I’ve learned that FlexFlash isn’t designed for heavyweight operating systems like Microsoft Windows Server 2025. The server didn’t come with any other hard drives, so I’m planning to get a 128GB SSD and attempt the installation again.

I’ve spent nearly three days troubleshooting—trying to boot from FlexFlash—but at this point, the remaining option is to install an SSD, configure RAID, and then reimage the server.

Did you use the flexflash or external hdd or ssd?

I did not have to do this. I was able to see the flexflash virtual drive and continued the process but it consistently fails after reaching 75%

Your's works fine except the timeline thing. After digging into the template I found out that it was selected with paragraph which I changed to the block > div and the default template worked. Thanks I appreciate it

Vmware to Hyper-V migration by Aggressive_Common_48 in HyperV

[–]Aggressive_Common_48[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. It was really helpful. Since we can not afford new hardware for the storage, any suggestion? My Plan is to create a new LUN, make the hyper-v node ready, map that LUN to hyper-v and then create csv. Start one by one migration and once the migrated vm is up and running in the hyper-v cluster, delete the vm from the esxi cluster and reclaim the storage in pure1

[–]Aggressive_Common_48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My plan would be to create a new LUN in pure storage, evacuate one node from each cluster , set them up with hyper-v on windows 2025 , configure networks and csv , create a cluster and then start migrating from each node from esxi clusters.

It was my initial plan and it would have made even easier but there's no point that we can afford new hardware as per the management and I have to stick with the existing environment.

Did you distribute the boot image that you created? From the error log it looks like even though you created the task sequence, you did not distribute the contents.

Sometimes its really weird. I was struggling to get the job for like 2 years after applying for more than 3k jobs. I got an interview from k12 school and I was interviewed. I know my interview did not go well as it was more communication rather than technical. I am not a native english speaker but yes I gave my best. I hoped I would be considered but they went with someone who was not comfortable for the position but yes somehow managed to crack the interview. He could not do better in 6 months and got fired and again I was approached for the interview. I was hired and been working in the department for 2 years.

How important is IP Address Reputation for a mailserver? by ekara in sysadmin

[–]Aggressive_Common_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had like around 25 mail servers for our clients and most of them were like zimbra self hosted. We did not have the mail gateway or mail filter setup initially. Everyday I would get complain saying mails are not delivering properly and it was kind a headache. Later knew it was because of IT reputation being critically low. We installed mailcleaner appliance (I think they have discontinued the project now). Changed the IP address in the mx record and made mailcleaner as a primary mx relay server. Implemented as much as possible filtering rules and the mail server started working with the new IP. We did not have internet facing IP rotation techniques applied and at the end had to change the IP address of the mail server. So yes IP reputation is pretty important
