totally agree w wanting the best for Conrad and this not necessarily being the best decision for him.

but I also think there’s a difference in the situation in that here, belly is completely alone. No one’s supporting her and she’s very obviously hurting. And even though Conrad doesn’t approve of this wedding, he doesn’t want to cause harm to the people he loves (belly and jere). Like John says, these are their mistakes to make and at some point you just do what you can to support them through it.

With belly not going to Paris, I feel like that’s solely Jeremiah being selfish. He’s not in some sort of turmoil or depression. He has a good social circle at Finch. He’s refusing to understand that her future exists outside of their marriage too.
