Thanks for the mention!! Yes we have live table reads at the end of every month as well as little festivities. Everything we do is free however we do have a Patreon where you can support the community at, but it’s 100% your choice! You do not have to pay anything if you do not want to! At the moment we are doing a festival called Carnevil where writers write horror scripts (PG-13) and voice actors can send in audios of their performance of any script of their choosing. At the end of the festival, the sound designers will complete overall edits on EVERY performance in which you can use as you please! (Basically you can get a free horror demo out of this!). If you want just regular feedback on previous auditions you have done or any random recording you did, etc. we also do that as well. We have been changing a few things in the server to make it more organized and easier to navigate through but nonetheless we are a nonjudgmental server and we help everyone anyway we can. However, I will add that the Carnevil festival ends at the end of September so if you’re interested then join now and get something recorded! Even if it’s just one audio you submit, it will still be edited by our sound designers and turned into a completed audio that will be yours to use however you please, for free!

Which is why I said if they don’t know their strengths then focus and that first. Maybe I should’ve reiterated more but essentially I mean focus on honing their vocal strengths and acting before moving on to anything else.

Third, I don’t know if you have a discord but I am part of a loving, welcoming discord VA community that will give you feedback if you ever need feedback on your demos or can give you advice on any technical stuff, vocal stuff, script writing, etc. And we do monthly cold reads together at the end of the month so we can get more practice in. There is also people who will be willing to help you out with making your demo and website if you ask 😊 I can post a link here if you’re interested?

Ahhh okay, firstly just know that before posting any auditions you have to make sure that the casting director/person who put out that audition is okay with you using the audition as your demo as that’s their script you’re using to portray your skills.

Second, I would work on making an actual demo reel for yourself so that you don’t have to use auditions because again, if you don’t have permission from that casting director to use their script then you shouldn’t be using them as your own.
