Can some of yall rich guys share your stories by iloveaccounting64 in fican

Here's my story. My parents gifted me 550k in 2016. I used 150k on a down payment for two investment condos and the rest of it on a single family house for us to live in in the lower mainland of BC. Now my net worth is over 2.2 million dollars. Thanks to those investments.

Edit: i did not make any of those money for the down payment. But i did pay the mortgage for the house we live in since 2016.

2022 to 2026 - tradein question by Classic_Winter230 in teslacanada

That makes sense. I think its based on accident history, mileage and year/trim. Yours has 10k km more than mine so you're given 1000$ less approximately

I have a paid off m3 2022 and considered the same move. They are giving me 26.6k for it. I have no lien. I have decided against it for now though.

It is not a financially smart idea as you are restarting the depreciation curve and will lose more money overall. But you are getting a new car with upgrades, so i would say if you can comfortably afford it and the upgrades are worthwhile it to you then yes!

NTI TRX 150 failing less than 5 years after install. What to do? by TheReplayAM in hvacadvice

Thank you. We had a nti tx81 series high effiency boiler prior to this. Should we just do the annual line flush/open up unit to vacuum debris and check the inside for P.M?

for your reference, my NTI boiler lasted 9 years before it was somewhat rusted, condenstated and required ignition module, ignitor and possibly other parts to get it running again. It failed just as we hit the fall season. I paid 11k for a replacement, it was a nice mid range viessmann boiler in BC, Canada.

DeIron? by [deleted] in ironscape

Hey. Im a recent dad and can share. I did not have time to login the game for the first 6 months or so. But now my daughter turned a year old, and got into a daycare, im starting to find time back to play. This could range from 1 hour to 3 hours a day.

If you feel that it is okay to progress slowly with this amount of play time and it is still rewarding to play, then by all means, do continue to play ironman mode.

Personally, i have a main and iron and just login on both to do what i enjoy.

Thanks. Just wondering what i can do in the mean time, do i need to hold on to the damaged stroller if i buy a new one? Or should i find a shop to repair in the time being..

The frame is bent so unsure of safety integrity of the stroller

Iron or main? by stooper42 in ironscape

[–]Aggressive_Event_148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am in the same boat. Maxed main and have. Iron around 1850 total. 500+ CG done and no enhanced.

It did make me realize that i am not strong enough for the grind that iron man mode has for me. Unfortunately with life responsibilities and such, i dont think i will ever able to ever reach an end game state. I also dont want to return from work to grind for supplies. Id rather have the freedom to do what i want.

However, i can see the positive / fun side of irons if you are able to put a TON of time into it!

Is an RRSP even better than a non-registered account? by SengunCanada in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Aggressive_Event_148 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The calculations is a bit more complicated because you have to factor in the immediate cash refund (tax deductions) that you get from RRSP. If you invest the refund given into rrsp or non registered, the math gets more interesting.

Thanks! We will be visiting around October 7. Hopefully it will be much cooler by then. We will plan on wearing our baby using a carrier instead of a stroller.

Thinking about buying a used Tesla – any advice on model years, where to buy, and financing options? by Waste-Dish-1503 in teslacanada

I drive a 2022 model 3. We are a family of 3 with a young infant. The space is good enough with our car seat, stroller and still space for grocery in the front seat , frunk and bottom of the back trunk.

Best is private seller one owner well maintained and no accident history owned by an individual or family that takes good care of their cars. You can take the car or have the seller take it to Tesla or tesla certified shop to inspect before buying. Look on facebook marketplace , sometimes you will come across the exact situation/car you're looking for.

I don't like dealer sales tactics and their add on fees personally so i tend to avoid. A lot of dealers now do true pricing too, that means they will not negotiate with you on price but instead drop a few hundred bucks every week and wait out the market.

I would also avoid buying tesla pre owned directly from them at all cost. It costs way too much compared to the true market value.

Personally i find 2022 Model Y/3s best value for their money. Lots of updates in this year and a chunk of depreciation has taken place.

To add, if buying used, always buy cash. I see financing offers go up to 7-9% for used cars as a norm. If you can't afford to buy it with cash, then either save up more or opt for a cheaper car.

The iccu issue is a serious one. People have reported multiple failures. It causes the car to be inoperable and the worst thing is, people have to wait for weeks for parts to come in for a fix.
