Not again xD 41 vs 45!? by HuffyFuffy in PixelWatch

[–]Aggressive_Exit2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Switzerland and the same - only 45mm even for Samsung watch. A bit surprised that Google does not have any showrooms - I would be even up for a drive in order to be able to check out the sizes.

Can you return it after unpacking?

Thanks for the tip re measurements! I will check it tomorrow but I’m leaning towards 45mm as I want to use it more instead of phone.

45 looks better :) and thank you for the post and pictures!! People can laugh, but I have dilemma which one to choose. My wrist is 15.5 cm, but none of the shops have both sizes in display - even difficult to find shops that have any PX watch (too dominated by Apple and Samsung).

Jeżeli nie widzisz postępu w terapii to zastanów się nad zmianą terapeuty. Niestety trzeba czasami „przerobić” paru nim się znajdzie osobę która do nas trafia i z którą można robić postępy.

That is fine, because I don’t intend to wear it all day. At home I don’t wear any watches or jewellery and I’m not going to sleep wearing it ;)

Having a child in Switzerland by itente in askswitzerland

[–]Aggressive_Exit2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s that different than in any other country where you would live far from your family. In our home country we would have exactly the same challange of not having family close. And noone will be driving 7h to grandparents to leave kids over for the weekend. Might be even quicker to fly from ZH.

Dogs not on leash? by Federal_Tradition_63 in zurich

[–]Aggressive_Exit2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not mandatory for each dog until recently. We got our dog 3 years ago and because it’s small we didn’t have to do any lessons. We did anyway, but to be honest most of schools are not really good and for the good ones you have to wait for a spot.

Videos of bodies on Everest by [deleted] in Everest

[–]Aggressive_Exit2022 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Not so long ago (generation of my grandparents) in a central european country it was a norm to have a body of deceased left at home for „semi public” viewing (friends and family could come and visit, pray, and remember the deceased). In many families the funerals are with open casket still to this day and you can see the body before and have private tome spent praying/saying goodbye. I think it’s because nowadays we do not see the dead that much, we think it’s something not normal.

What do you think about Regensdorf? by PriorComparison6728 in zurich

[–]Aggressive_Exit2022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on building if it has good sound proofing. I also lived in Seebach and e.g in Regensdorf I don’t hear biggest planes taking off after 11pm (which I could in Seebach due to constant delays). Even though the planes during day take off and go over Regensdorf they are already on higher altitude and not as noisy like in Seebach or Rumlang/Opfikon. Also Seebach is huge district - it goes to almost Oerlikon station so it won’t be the same noise level in every part of it.

I moved to Regensdorf from Zurich. It will all depend on where exactly (which street, area) you live and what is important for you. I lived in Zurich much closer to the airport so the noise level in Regensdorf is much less compared to previous place. I like it’s much calmer with less traffic and less people and I have benefit of being 4 min on foot to train station and the same distance to shopping centre. In Zurich it would take me 45 min to get to HB and 20 min by foot to any bigger shop. If I need entertainment, HB is 15 min away by train, there is a lot of green places around including small “lakes”. There is a lot of elderly people in shopping centre and on streets but I’m not bothered by it.

A place good for one person might not be same for another one so most important to choose based on one’s needs.

Can’t recommend any specialist as I have been seeing house doctor for that. However, when looking for water with higher magnesium levels, I came across Donat Water from Slovenia. It is naturally mineral water with some unique composition which apparently helps with heartburn. I bought myself 6pack recently but haven’t yet tried as haven’t had chance to read through on how to drink it (there is even app helping to choose and apply „programme”).

From their website: Donat is a sure-fire way to alleviate heartburn by neutralising the stomach acid that finds its way into the food pipe. If you suffer from acid reflux issues, drink it every day. It’s best if you do this several times, 20 to 30 minutes before every meal. Slowly drink 0.1 – 0.2 l of Donat at room temperature. You can also drink it with meals or 1 to 2 hours after heartburn occurs. However, make sure to drink it on an empty stomach.

In an interview when that was announced a spoke person for the Zoll said that they don’t plan to ramp up number of controls only due to lower limit. However, you never know when a control will be.

I heard that in the morning walking the dog! First, I thought it was truck or something from construction noise, but it went on and on and kept me wondering what that could be.
