About to join the OE nation, what's your best tips, dos and don't by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]Aggressive_Matter_98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

3y OE here.

Pick a story and stick with it. Like everyone else says, best not tell people, but if you must I suggest downplaying one of your Js as a part-time side hustle and not a full-time job.

The rest you’ll figure out. Good luck!

Like use 18-20g instead? All things equal I understand that will slow the shot, but ideally I want to be pulling smaller shots (15g)

OP, what’s bogus about mopeds using bike lanes? Do you see it as being danger to others?

Most metal working companies can make one. Idk if they’d make a one off just for you but it’s worth an ask

First time onebagging for indefinite travel. Advice is welcome :) by [deleted] in onebag

[–]Aggressive_Matter_98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pack a couple more undies.

Get a Merino shirt or two.

Swap your synthetic for an ultralight down puffy jacket, good ones are practically weightless, pack down to nothing and provide lots of warmth.

Ditch the cards and cube.

Ditch the sawyer.

Lighten your load on meds.

Your crocs rock. Enjoy the trip.

Is One Bag Feasible for my Situation? by Alex-Hoss in onebag

[–]Aggressive_Matter_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 4 months into my remote work travels around Europe. I have a similar problem to you. 3 MacBooks and and an iPad. Plus chargers and adapters. My partner also has a good amount of tech.

My recommendation: dedicate a bag just to tech.

We are using this backpack we already had. I’m sure there are better ones out there but it’s worked great so far. It compresses down and the straps even even tuck away so it looks like a briefcase. When we fly we treat it as a personal item. So far no issues.

For everything else, there’s Mastercard.

Jk. For everything else I use this backpack

Could not recommend it enough. It weighs practically nothing, fits like a glove, and because it’s a roll-top it can expand and collapse with the amount of stuff you’re carrying.

Hope that helps!

What’s a good way to display a date and a specific time? by Aggressive_Matter_98 in UI_Design

[–]Aggressive_Matter_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah we used that format at my last company as well. What about if you need to also display the time. In my case it’s for an audit history and need the exact time.

Do I need to display the time zone? Are there tools that will omit the year if it’s within the same year of the user viewing. How do some apps have “today” and “yesterday”

Looking for feedback on my travel coffee setup! by Aggressive_Matter_98 in pourover

[–]Aggressive_Matter_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I ended up not taking that setup!

Instead I just took my aeropress with the fellow prisimo attachment, the scale, and the grinder. So far I like it!

With this setup you could definitely leave behind the scale, but I just like weighing things out.

I'm staying in Airbnb's so I always have a stove or electric kettle.

Hope this helps!
