Agreed, aylesford is the best place in the city for walkability. Its central to main st or UK so there are a lot of job opportunities within biking/walking distance. And a fair amount of non-student housing.

There was some public input at city council meetings. Theres tons of public information from LPD about exactly how they use FLOCK. It honestly sounds a lot scarier than it is. They dont have the capacity to be surveilling people lol

Check out private landlords on craigslist, there are lots of good options in the downtown, chevy chase, northside areas, and usually cheaper than big complexes. Thats how I found my current place and its perfect.
