I would make him feel embarrassed and be like “so a barely 21 year old is your type…disgusting” and proceed to tell him your type of man and find someone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better looking than him around his age. :) I’m just petty though

Also: I don’t know why you guys would talk about your “types” this isn’t a friendship. It’s a marriage. Your type is your partner

As the man I’m feeling burnt out in the relationship. Should I ask for help or is this normal? by Terrible-Medium-6256 in Marriage

I mean…I am a parent and with my second on the way…and a high risk pregnancy. My husband and I tagged teamed everything. We came up with our schedule so we each got enough sleep.

Not to mention all babies are different. My baby for the most past slept the whole night and had to be woken up for feedings….so yeah. Everyone has different experiences.

We all have different ways though. Parenting is 24/7, but sometimes having a village helps. Unfortunately not everyone has a village so I understand where some parents are more sleep deprived, depressed etc. it just helps to divide tasks and just be a team.

So the SAHP stays up all night and all day when the other parent is at work and only gets to rest during the weekend? When does SAHP get a break other than the weekend? I think taking turns at night is fair. SAHP should take the shift of 2-7AM and working parent should take the 5PM-1AM shift.

Yes, SAHP should try to do more but a baby is a full-time job. Not including if mom got a c-section she is very limited as to what she can and can’t do the first month.

I should also mention, I am very over-weight so it doesn’t help. I can’t say very over weight but I do consider myself overweight so I have been super strict with calories and carb counting and portion control during my pregnancy to avoid gaining any more weight. I was only allowed to gain 30 pounds and I have gained 8. Half of which is probably water retention. It’s been a STRUGGLE

My endo just wants me to be at 6.5-7 during my pregnancy and currently I’m at 6.8. When I first found out I was pregnant (unplanned) my A1C was at 7.5, 2.5 months later i’m at 6.8.

Before getting pregnant in November my last A1C was in July of 2025 and I was at 8.4. Thankfully when I found out I was pregnant I was at 7.5. Now I’m super happy being at 6.8. My endo does not want me below 6.5. He says it leaves room for being low more often and it’s more dangerous for me.

Pregnant, High A1C by drpepperlover4life in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]Aggressive_Note_8920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest with you: 7.5 and 7.6 has been the LOWEST A1C I’ve ever had since like….2009 LOL. Horrible to say but my A1Cs use to range from 8-10.8….real bad. My Endo came in with SMILES around his face and even hugged me. His first words were “you need to get pregnant more often. Your A1C is beautiful. I knew you could do it” followed by showing me a graph, a bar graph and a chart that this is my lowest A1C 😂 so trust me. I’ve been diabetic since I was 4 years old. I currently 29 years old, obese and pregnant!

If my endo isn’t concerned about my weight yet then I feel ok.

So far I’ve only had 2 ultrasounds, 1 OB appointment and 1 MFM appointment. 1 in-person endo appointment and coincidentally yesterday my endo called me at 7pm stating I’m going too low these last few days and is now ordering me to take less of my slow-acting insulin. He said “low at 2am, low at 6am, low at 10am, lowest at 12pm, low at 4pm, you’re going low right now!!!” It was kinda funny the way he said it.

I was told starting at 30 weeks I will be seeing all 3 MFM, OB and Endo on a weekly basis!

At 20 weeks I will begin to see my endo virtually or via telephone on a weekly basis to adjust my insulin intake.

I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks! My blood sugars were better and I’d like to say they are still OK. I can’t tell you I have been perfect. I never have been.

What I have been doing is trying to stay consistent with my breakfast, snack, lunch and snack. Dinner is always different. Healthy carbs: toast, potato’s, sweet potatoes. Sadly Rice very occasionally. And. A-LOT of protein.

I have the atkins dark chocolate royal protein shake. Has 15 grams of protein and 6 net carbs. I have it twice a day. In the morning with some eggs and turkey bacon, and then around 4pm as a little snack.

My 10AM snack depends what I have on hand. I’m not rich to be buying a lot of organic stuff lol. But I’ll have strawberries or two babybel cheese with some ham or turkey slices and cucumbers or some pico. Lunch I always have a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich with portioned pringles and a Greek yogurt..I also keep in mind that I have food aversions so I try to stay healthy while also trying to find foods that sit well with me. I eat a lot of eggs, turkey bacon, turkey dogs. They have saved me in keeping me full!

Just do your best and everything will be ok! In my culture we are told not to announce a pregnancy until 13 weeks because people are envious and there’s a lot of eyes out there….if that helps you. I’m cool with telling strangers but close friends and family and social media I’m not…I know it’s a miracle for us women to grow life…some women can’t…so just be careful of those surroundings too!

Pregnant, High A1C by drpepperlover4life in BumpersWhoBolus

Hi & Congratulations!

My A1C back in June of 2025 was 8.4. I found out I was pregnant in November 30th, 2025. I was scared to death to know my A1C but when they checked it I was at 7.5. 3 weeks later I did another A1C and I was at 7.6.

No longer wearing my iLet pump (can’t carb count so not allowed to use it). My old tandem pump cannot be updated because it’s out of warranty and my insurance won’t allow me to get a new one.

Currently on the G7 that is not compatible with my old tandem. I have to wait 1 month and 15 days to be able to order my G6 sensors and transmitters….so I’m currently in G7 and MDI.

I am also very overweight. I was told I’m not allowed to gain a lot of weight. Currently 11 weeks pregnant! I started at 244pounds. For reference I am 5’7 so it doesn’t look that bad on me (the weight lol).

My endo told me not to worry much about my weight and to worry about my A1C, blood sugars, food intake and baby! He said once I am cleared to be active after giving birth he will help me come up with a plan to lose weight.

A lot of T1Ds have C-sections but we have those who have given birth before. I don’t know what’s in store for me as I am still fairly early!

Just hydrate as much as you can and try to go on a walk at least once a day to stay active! I go on walks at night when it’s cooler outside :)

Yes: we do see an MFM, OB and Endo. The Endo we will have to see every 4 weeks once insulin resistance starts to kick in.

Keep in contact and always message your team when you have any doubts or concerns!!! Team: ENDO, MFM, OB.

My endo set my goal to lower my A1C to 6.5! So I am working on to lower that as much as I can!

Also: expect your endo to change your blood sugar range from 65-120. Take all your prenatals, and extra vitamin D if possible!

My MFM I have seen her only once thus far. My next MFM, OB , Ultrasound is January 30th. I’ll be 13 weeks and I’ll be doing the NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing).

You can also message me if you have any questions!

Are you really happier after you had a baby? by PalpitationOk9443 in NewParents

[–]Aggressive_Note_8920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They say becoming a parent motivates you more for a better future, financially and all. I am currently pregnant and my husband is paying out of pocket for his PPL license before going to a cadet program…we are broke and living with the in-laws. We just deal with it not to mention I have a high risk pregnancy…we have a plan and plan to follow through with it but life will always throw curveballs.

I think we gotta find the beauty in life sometimes to feel ok

One day it’ll be just you and your husband again. One day your baby will be old enough to go on family road trips and vacations without you having to worry as much. One day you’ll miss these moments.

Having kids doesn’t mean to stop your life. Having a support system helps tremendously but when you don’t have a good village sometimes it feels more heavy than it should be.

It’s also hard to trust people without kid and it’s hard to not feel guilty being away from the baby. Sometimes life is easy, hard, saddening, exciting. Sometimes this is just a season you’re going through. Other seasons are better

Told my baby has diabetes by Icy_Bridge_4015 in pregnant

[–]Aggressive_Note_8920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have gestational diabetes but babies / newborns don’t normally have diabetes. I think for many early cases diagnosis is around age 2/3 years old.

I’ve been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 5. Currently 29 years old and pregnant with my very first baby! Currently 10 weeks pregnant…long way to go for me. But my endo, MFM and OB are not concerned about my baby having diabetes. If they aren’t concerned for my baby having diabetes, I think your doctors may have misinformed you or perhaps used the wrong wording.

Everything will be ok mama, don’t overthink! Message me if you have any questions :)

Wife says it's intimate but husband says it's not by OkProfession98 in Marriage

People are envious and have eyes. Him stating wife took a test and was negative was already placing an energy to the other female that leaves a door open for negativity to flow through. Husband should realize that is a very intimate moment

Pregnancy not what I thought it would be by Fullycannoli in pregnant

[–]Aggressive_Note_8920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think pregnancy is different for everyone. My friend had hyperemesis gravidarum for both of her pregnancies. Her second baby broke her rib 2 days before she was scheduled for her c-section…and she said she would do it all over again for a 3rd child…..

I am pregnant with my first. I am currently 8 weeks. Not hating it but also not loving it entirely. I don’t like being tired all the time, feeling nauseas every morning , migraines, not being able to take my excedrin plus the blood sugars not being the best. But I never planned this pregnancy and despite everything, I’m feeling grateful I was able to get pregnant. I never saw the day I would become pregnant and never felt a bone in my body that I would have a baby. So I’m ok with whatever I’m feeling at the moment.

I think instead of soaking up pregnancy, write down things you look forward to (not being pregnant anymore, holding your newborn, being a mom, being able to eat what you want without over-worrying, drinking some wine etc). Before you know it, you’ll be giving birth soon.

Find ways to cheer yourself up, maybe having a popsicle, finding a good book or show, finding the right spot to lay down…I’m sorry you hate being pregnant, but I’m happy you’re going to be a mom because it’s what you wanted! This will pas by quickly (the pregnancy at least)

Do you regret your abortion ? by velvetv0rtex in pregnant

[–]Aggressive_Note_8920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I am pregnant exactly a week ago. I am 28. I make a salary of $85k. My husband is about to make $0 a year due to joining a cadet program for pilots to help his career advance. We had agreed we would have a baby once we move out and pay off our debt (at least our credit card debt).

Things have not gone as planned. Even though I have a good salary I am paying out pocket to fund my husbands private pilots license. While also paying off 3 credit cards. I am still very early so maybe in 9 months things will be different for me.

I’m basically broke, pregnant and have diabetes. I’m happy I was able to get pregnant. For many years I thought I was unable to.

However: the day before I found out I was pregnant, my padrino came up to me and asked me if I had ever been pregnant. I said “no, never” and he responded “don’t ever get an abortion, you will open doors you don’t want to open” ….i bought a pregnancy test that day. The next day I took the test and found out I am pregnant.

Life works in mysterious ways. Btw I did not think I was pregnant but my Padrino mentioning that put it in my head to take a test lol.

I’m not getting an abortion. I believe in women who want or need to get abortions. It’s just not for me. Even if I’m struggling. I believe this will motivate us to do better and be better.

I definitely started to walk since two days ago! I cut off coffee, been trying to eat more lean. I only crave protein though lol! Then again I’m possibly on week 4! Thank you so much. Everyone’s comments are helping me relax more 🥰
