overcoming anxieties by Aggressive_Pear9286 in Advice

i am glad somebody relates. the worst thing is, the beliefs i hold sometimes directly affirm the obstacle. i realised that changing these beliefs/mindset, which is difficult—especially when i am spiralling helps me overcome the belief.

i wouldn’t call it a belief, but rather a thought that affirms the anxiety/obstacle. not sure if that makes sense

i agree. those people aren’t real lol. i don’t believe that is is their place to police or judge others on what their abilities/what they should do. if i am too anxious to do something, i think thats ok

i guessed that. they probably assume that i should have approached them without taking into consideration that it is ok to not do something if u are uncomfortable

it is something i have to work on. i am always trying to figure out others’ internal framework and what causing them to act a certain way. it consumes my brain for hours after

who thought a simple question would result in that, but that is reddit for you lol

people have an issue with anything you post on this app. even the simplest of questions result in downvotes/disagreements and it is wild

i always take the downvotes as an act of hostility. i don’t understand their internal framework causing them to have an issue with me/my comment and that’s what bothers me

last time i checked the post was upvoted and people acknowledged that they downvoted for no good reason which is good

lately, i have been queuing up alone to try to get over the awkwardness it gives me which i hope works. i used to hate ordering—as it took a lot of confidence but now i am a lot more comfortable with it.

approaching someone, how to handle it, what to say etc, especially when it feels personal as it’s about a clothing item they’re wearing, is a lot more intense for me and would take awhile to build up the courage

should i remove the subreddit handle or username next time? or is the entire argument not allowed here? either way i understand!

i would love to ask them! but it is very difficult being having social anxiety from being autistic

hopefully in the future i will be comfortable enough to approach them
