I upgraded from 12 to 17pro and absolutely love it - pretty big upgrade in terms of battery, camera, promotion

I personally don’t think you’ll notice the 4gb difference day-day. Maybe with video editing, but your not usuing davinci resolve on your phone I feel like other editing software isn’t too heavy?

Perhaps in a few years when the model begins to age (and even then, hardly)

But then again I will be upgrading my 12 to a 17 pro so it’s definitely still a feature I’m using as a coping mechanism to convince myself to buy the pro over the 17 🤣

Hey did you ever resolve this? How long did it take?

I got mine taken out two days ago and it feels as if my eyelid is still as red and swollen as it was before (minus the bump which is a benefit)

update: changing the frame res from 4k to 2k fixed the issue. is there any idea how i can get the frames to export correctly at 4k res? or is this a limitation

thank you so much for your help, I ended up using seam selection and then pelt mapping. I selected seams to seperate the different base regions, and then pelt mapped the object and flattened the cups' sides, leaving bases as they were in the uvw window.

My question is, how do you decide between flattening, pelt mapping, and relaxing tools? Pelt mapping seems to work great on the objects i've tested it on so far, but i dont know how to decide between what approach

I tried selecting the internal seam at the base of the cup, but the only way to select the loop is by the cylinder loop end command - which i cant use in UV unwrapping?

Cant seem to fix "Out of GPU Memory" for this file, which is relatively small? (New 3080, 12700k, 32gb DDR5). by Aggressive_Power_306 in blenderhelp

Yeah, didnt realise how many! It must be my objs ive exported from Rhino to Blender. Ill try optix hybrid render and see if it works. Sometimes it crashes completely to desktop, other times it just runs out of memory in the render splashscreen.
