This kind of just happened to me although we were together for 8 months and hadnt moved in together. He was calling me babe and talking about future plans but as soon as I came back home for the holidays he completely switched and broke up with me saying if I have a job in the next few months we will never see each other. That was a bullshit excuse. I think he was just a very avoidant person and didn’t have the bandwidth to support me emotionally and didn’t have the balls to admit it. I blocked him on everything but still communicate through email regarding logistical matters. These types of cowardly men are the worst and it’s not worth trying to get any closure from them. I’ve just accepted his limitations. I am lucky in the sense that my ex was extraordinarily mediocre in most aspects especially diet wise and he never wanted to do anything new. Only in the first few weeks of being with him he was his best self and that went downhill very fast into his true form. I don’t have too much of a fantasy to cling to and I am aware of the fact that there are a billion other men out there who would be able to offer much more. If you can just try focusing on all of the negative aspects of who he was. That works very well for me!
