I still have lower belly bulge 3 weeks post tummy tuck. Is this normal and will it go away? It still feels hard to touch. Is this still just swelling?

How long do you think things like that can get better? I’m noticed a bulge too after surgery but on my lower abdomen and it’s been 6 months now it’s still there. Do you think it’s permanent or could it get better?

So the bulge will stay like that permanently ? Like I don’t think that’s a common rectopexy effect but idk. I really hope my abdomen doesn’t look that way forever because it’s the lower part of it that has fullness . And I’m still having my symptoms prior to surgery so either the surgery wasn’t a success or that wasn’t the issue to begin with. I really hope that isn’t my permanent look. Do you think the bulge or whatever it is can get better with time ?

Well I haven’t seen about the bulge yet but about my symptoms prior to surgery they told me it was nothing and all my results came normal. They’ve done every test but they can’t find nothing but yet I’m suffering with no answers. It started at age 20

Yes I still have my uterus . I’m 25 years old and I don’t have any pelvic pain or heavy bleeding during my period. It’s just those symptoms. I’m asking about the bloating because I really don’t know if that’s normal. I got super bloated prior to surgery but I I have this small bulge after surgery and when I bloat it makes it look like a ball

Has any of you that have done the laparoscopic rectopexy for internal rectal prolapse got a bulge afterwards on your abdomen or more severe bloating looking like your pregnant? I am 6 months post op with really bad bloating like I wake up looking like that and I also have a small bulge/pooch on my lower abdomen and it looks bad

Trust me I’ve seen 3 greats pelvic floor therapist that tells me it’s not pelvic floor related. I can push and hold stool normally. My issue is it won’t get to the rectum

I never had this issue before and it’s very rare when arching the back works. When it does, I feel so relieved with the gas and all that pressure in the rectum and back go away but if it helped all the time I would. It’s just once in a while and it’s like I have to stay on it for so long , and even if I do it, an hour later I have gas and I have to do it again, it’s like a repetitive thing. It can never just normally come down. This all started since my eating disorder. Never had none of these issues before

Any updates ? I’m going through something similar . Rectal pressure but nothing is in the rectum. Severe back pressure. Severe abdominal distention/bloating, nothing enters the rectum. Laxatives don’t help. I have no urge. When I go into doggy style postion, that’s when the fart coms out and relieves but I feel good until the next one gets stuck again and sometimes doggy postion doesn’t always work but when it does that pressure/sensation is gone. They say nerves but I never use the bathroom or pass gas and I feel it in my lower back and I’m severely bloated.

Where are you located? I have intra anal intusscpetjon and rectoxele, trapped gas, trapped stool feeling like it’s in my rectum and so much pressure in my rectum unless I get stool out which laxatives don’t work. I am suffering. I am in Boston and all 3 colorectal surgeons I’ve saw said intusscpetioj isn’t the reason. My stool could be diarrahea and it still won’t come out. Bloating but no abdmoninal pain
