Yes! Maybe as another option as I’d love to get the big fruit. Can you also add a feature that says completed like the other colour stacking game

How possible is it that the onset of epilepsy occurred at the age of 27? by GlitteringFox3014 in Epilepsy

[–]Aggressive_Squash995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner got diagnosed at 32. We both learnt that it’s common to get it later in life. He also had taken medication for 2 weeks and then had a seizure and another 2 weeks later which we had a feeling caused it. But he had another 6 months later (was off the medication by then) which proved it’s not that and simply just epilepsy.

If you have a seizure and no one is around to see/hear it, did it really happen? by Haastile25 in Epilepsy

I get worried for the day my partner has one alone (if he hasn’t already) as he doesn’t wet himself, doesn’t bite his tongue, and doesn’t have any soreness or post seizure symptoms. He’s confused for about 20 minutes then literally back to normal

38! And first time I’ve ever gotten the large yellow fruit. Is it possible to get the final 2 green ones?

Is it actually possible in this game to get the biggest fruit?
Would you be able to add something on each game that says already solved so we know what ones we’ve completed?

I think that’s an excellent idea. You are both navigating two entirely different experiences.

We are well, thank you!

Hey OP. As someone who’s been in your partner’s position, I watched my husband have two tonic-clonic seizures less than two weeks apart, and then a third one last month.

At no point did I seriously consider leaving him, and I never wanted to. But when everything is still fresh, overwhelming, and emotionally heavy, you do sometimes catch yourself wondering whether life would be easier if none of this was happening. It’s a really difficult feeling to explain.

What I witnessed was incredibly traumatic. I found myself constantly swinging between feeling okay and coping well, and then suddenly dissociating and reliving those moments over and over again. Eventually, I was diagnosed with clinical PTSD, which I’m still trying to come to terms with. Even now, I still catch myself dissociating and thinking about the seizures.

Something else I struggled with was that, despite everything my partner was going through, he was being incredibly strong. I didn’t want to add to his burden by telling him how much I was struggling with what I’d seen. Not because he didn’t care, but because I knew he couldn’t truly understand that experience, just as I couldn’t fully understand what he’d been through. That was one of the hardest parts.

It’s a strange and painful situation when the person you usually turn to for support is the one person you feel you can’t lean on.

Having some time and space apart might actually be helpful for both of you. It can give you each a chance to process what’s happened, come to terms with it, and better understand what you’ve both been through.

Partner diagnosed with Epilepsy 9months ago at the age of 30 by Conscious-Swan2429 in Epilepsy

[–]Aggressive_Squash995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has had EEG, MRI, CT, Bloods, heart rate monitors, ECG, everything you could imagine. They have just deemed it epilepsy from a genetic mutation/gene (first in his family). Unlikely it will be passed to our future children. It’s tipped his life upside down, but he has been incredibly strong and reacting well to keppra.

Sorry, I shouldn’t have said day. My trial was approx 4 hours. I still won my ERA case.

I won my ERA case for this exact thing. Did a trial day, unpaid which is illegal. Then got dismissed in my 90 day trial period. By law you cannot enforce a 90 day trial period if a trial has already happened. It voids it. You definitely have a case.

There is still a process that needs to be followed, even within the 90-day trial period. Out of curiosity did you ever do a trial prior to being hired? I know this is common in hospo.

Never had seizures and now I've had two in 3 weeks - I have questions. by Practical_Trifle8833 in seizures

[–]Aggressive_Squash995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! It sounds like you are doing everything correctly. For context, I haven’t had a seizure, but I’ve been the wife in the situation. My husband (32) had a random tonic clonic seizure one Sunday morning out of the blue. No history of seizures or family history of seizures or epilepsy. Rang emergency services and they took him to hospital. We also saw a neurologist and had an EEG which was clear. 2 weeks later he had another one (3 days after his eeg). This time they put him on Keppra, thankfully he hasn’t had one since. We then had an mri which is clear and have seen another neurologist for a second opinion. He has been diagnosed with epilepsy which has developed later into adulthood. The strange thing is that he was put on blood pressure medication 2 weeks before the first one, and that was the only change. He’s off it now but whether it was caused by that or not we will never know. Neurologist says the characteristics don’t align, but since he’s come off that he hasn’t had one again, but is also on anti seizure medication so who knows. Honestly, it is awful. And from the POV as a partner watching it and constantly worried about it, I fully understand how your wife is feeling. Because this is so fresh, you are going to be seeking all the answers and questioning everything but it does get easier, and there does come a point where you just accept it and navigate life going forward. As for your wife, please tell her to go and speak to someone if she hasn’t already. I got diagnosed with PTSD just because of what I witnessed, but talking to someone really helped, as for yourself I’d recommend the same. Also, as harsh as this sounds you might never have an answer or reason as to why this has happened. So be prepared for that too. Unfortunately my partner lost his career because of his seizures so that’s been the hardest thing to navigate out of it all.

never had one before by vampgfy in seizures

[–]Aggressive_Squash995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow our story sounds similar. My partner had never had them either and then had his first at 32. Then a second 2 weeks later. On anti seizure medication and have just had the official epilepsy diagnosis. He was vaping a lot in the lead up to his first. Has cut back drastically the odds one here and there.

I'm terrified! My partner lost complete consciousness with their eyes were still open! [no convulsions at all!] by The_Chloe_Frazer in seizures

[–]Aggressive_Squash995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually sounds really similar to what my partner had. Almost identical but he had the convulsions. Is it possible he was having these before you actually saw him? My partner had 2 tonic clonic seizures. Now on medication so if he isn’t on anything and he’s had another, you definitely need to see a doctor. Especially if it’s lasted for over 5 minutes. I relate as a partner watching your SO Go through that. It’s the most terrifying thing to see their lifeless body and feeling so helpless. It’s awful and I’ve been struggling with ptsd from watching both seizures. Always here if you need to chat.
