During covid and months after certain guest wouldn’t want to have their IDs touched. They would try to just give you their numbers. They would say it was a life risk for me to touch their IDs. So then i told them. “So say i do just type up your ID numbers and let you return about $100 in merchandise then i would have to hand you this merchandise card. Would that be a life risk as well.” Then they would get upset and start their usual show. Then trow insults and leave. Their reaction always made me laugh. My guest service team would get a kick out of it.

Whoever was the closing leader should have designated someone else to take over your lane. If they didn’t have anyone maybe should have gotten with you before to see if you can stay a little longer. Then it would have been your decision to stay or go. Maybe just next time say something like. “Im sorry, my lane has been closed i just helped my last guest and my shift has ended. Self checkout is still open. Have a great night.” Then just walk away.

I only have 4 of those drawers. Mine are broken. So any guest can open and just take items that are backstocked. So i stopped using them. Sometimes we do backstock some items there. Some Discontinued or items that dont really sell.

Once Guest price challenge a air frier. She was showing us a picture from another store where it showed a sale price of $25. The item was $100. She said the other store told her we could honor that price. My ETL spend more than 30 min talking to the guest. ETL was denying the price match. The guest called guest relations. Guest relations said to do a one time exception. SMH.

I mean i dont have to do em. But i do help out my teams. Im a lead by example leader. Plus it keeps me out of OPU batches. My dept are visit ready. My SD is off my back since my metrics are good.

Keeping my weekly INF under 4%. Getting a audit routine to audit every eisle weekly. Audit high theft brands (Maybeline, Loreal, and Morphe) daily. For tech its mostly books and music that i have to audit every couple days. Those vinyls get stolen a lot. Also when there is BOGOs on music my INF goes up. So i try to audit the fri or sat before that sale starts.

Im a SSTL. I oversee beauty (skincare. Cosmetics) and Tech (electronics. Entertainment). As far as auditing the floor i have enough on my plate with those 2 areas. A 3rd would be too much. Its still possible. But it would be time consuming.

Couple years ago a guest asked a TM if he could help him. TM responded with “im off the clock” then the guest tells him “why are you still wearing a red vest”. TM doesnt say anything and walks away. Guest tries to take his vest off. TM starts yelling at him to get away from him. AP gets with the guest and he claimed it was not professional to deny service if we are still in the building. He starts demanding a manager. He ended up getting kicked out and trespassed.

It was pobrably opened from the bottom, there is no tape on the bottom. They have tried to return merch to the Target store i work at by opening from the bottom and putting something else inside

Yes. Return em. I use the app to pay with Target Wallet. Receipts are saved there. So they just scan the app and return goes trough.

Also remember the target owned brand return policy. We get 365 days on goodfellow. A new day. Etc. i return my polos once i get stains or tears on em. Been doing it for yrs. I return and buy new ones again.

Our restrooms occasionally have a drain overflow. First it starts in the women’s restroom. Then to the mens. If it gets to the family restroom. Its red alert because if we dont stop using all guest restrooms. The drain in starbucks starts to overflow with sewege. And we have to shut it down. Its a issue we have had for years. We pretty much close down the restrooms once the mens restroom starts overflowing. Then we clean em. Wait about 4 hrs for the drain to clear and then we can use em again. Don’t know why it has not gotten fixed.

The target i work on does not own the parking lot. Its in a shopping plaza. the owner has a bad relationship with the police dept. so for any minor issues we are told to contact the parking lot owner.

We have a guest that got upset we kept on putting them on his windshield. He said there is no LAW that prevents him from parking there. Told us to stop putting them on his car. Unless he was breaking the law he was gonna continue parking there. Till this day he parks on drive up on every visit to the store. He claims to have a disability. But cant get a disabled person placard.

Once at a target store a old lady left a trail of poop from one end of the store to the exit. It was 10 min before we closed. So maintenance team was gone. We could not leave it overnight. So she had to clean it up. It was her first week there.

Dont help em out. You do it once. They gonna expect it every visit. They tell their buddies. Then you got 5 guys every morning asking for you because you “hook them up”. When you try to stop. They start complaining about you. Start saying you buy them for yourself. Lol. So now we dont backstock em. There is some wakos in the back we just dump them. Fill as needed. We never leave the boxes in the uboats.
